How many Limited 1st Gen Double Cabs were made?

I was wondering if anyone knew how many limited double cabs were made? The limited model don't come up on sale too often and also I never see them in white.

In all honesty, I have no idea but I'd like to know as well. My previous Tacoma was a Deluxe, and had just about everything a limited did except that it was an xtra cab and didn't have the leather wrapped steering wheel. It had the nicer sport seats, which IMO were a huge upgrade to the seats in my SR5 now

 

here another Limited 70K on odometer now , got it from dealer 1 owner with 55K about $22,250 invested, No clue how many LIMITED edition still on the road but you're right, don't recall a DC white or other colors beside red black and silver

 

I've only seen one for sale and it was black with a sunroof. The asking price was $11,500 and it had just over a 100k. I was out of town for work and by the time I called on Friday it sold that day. (Private seller and it was all stock)

I think the Limited trim option overall was incredibly rare. I'm always looking at insurance auctions on Copart and DashHub and out of the hundreds of 1st gen Tacomas I've browsed through I've only seen a couple of Limiteds.

 

I honestly didn't even know it was an option on the 1st gen Tacomas.

My (non-limited) SR5 has color matched bumpers, grill fender flairs, and door handles. What does the limited have? Do they have leaver seats or something?

 

It might have been the only sub model that Toyota made that was truly "limited." I see limited 4Runners all over the place. Someone at Toyota said for some reason the midwest did not get very many

 

Chrome power mirrors, power lumbar support I believe, larger seat bolsters, leather wrapped steering wheel, rear locker, color matched fender flares, etc

Something like that. I'm going off the Limited Double Cab I took parts from from seeing the one the guy is parting out on the 1st gen marketplace in person.

 

Another TW member found what the Limited TRD package includes:
Color-keyed front bumper and fender flares; chrome grille surround,door handles, power remote outside mirrors and rear bumper; sliding rear window with privacy glass; dual-fabric sun visors with mirror and visor extensions; orange-illuminated white-faced meters); power windows and door locks; leather-trimmed tilt steering wheel; leather-trimmed shift knob (manual transmission only); washer-linked variable intermittent, windshield wipers; cruise control; defroster-linked CFC-free air conditioning; fabric-trimmed sport seats with driver’s power-adjustable lumbar support; and Deluxe 3-in-1 AM/FM ETR/Cassette/CD with 6 speakers

 

So basically color matched fender flares, chrome mirrors, orange-illuminated white-faced cluster, fancy seats, and leather steering wheel/knob are different from the other high end packages.

 

I don't know if all has the 6 speakers ? that counts and the fancy seats with lumbar support at driver \buckle sport seats .. yeah.. that's all

 

Hm, where do the other two speakers go? One in each door and two I have no idea where else.

 

Most Limiteds I've seen have been DC. Don't see many XCs.
I wish I had a limited just because of the seats.

 

I believe mine is the Limited as well. Aren't there two tweeters on the front doors?

 

My poverty spec double cab (one of the rarest in USA) has oem tweeters

It has no tach and no clock but has tweeters
Go figure

 

I'm still adjusting to the regular 1st gen seats in my new truck... my old truck had the sport/limited seats (even though it wasn't technically a limited) and they were so much better than the ones I have now.... more comfortable, better bolstering, lumbar support, and the ability to raise the seat a little bit higher were all nice features.

 

Correct, seats are great ... DC the 6 speakers are 1 on each door plus the 2 little tweeters, the badges of "Limited" and been 4wd plus TRD is what make them rare to find, the sunroof was optional , but who knows how many left on this configuration.. no clue.

 

Per your Avatar picture, fenders ar not color match, but possible modified, does came with limited badge at rear doors and tail gate?

 

Another Limited here. I even got the waaayyyy over priced factory installed OEM roof rack. I need to put the thing back on. It needs a tad bit of paint first.
