Subaru is high on the list around me, then its trucks and SUVs with a few Volvos. My WRX always stuck out but I would occasionally see another one at trailheads.

The Iceman race every winter even used to have a special parking lot closer to the events just for Subaru owners. They are pretty much the only car company that I have personally seen supporting cycling locally.

Yea I think that list is the list every where haha.. And yes that would be sweet if Toyota did more support. I actually sell Mazda's and I keep thinking I would like to get them to back more things like this as well.

I sell Mazdas and our most sold car is the CX-5. And I continually get people that want to test fit their bikes. I love it because I end up helping and then I get to talk bikes!!

I test-fit both our bikes in the two Tacos I looked at, because they both had shells and it would be a non-starter if I couldn't get both bikes in. First guy was a rider and actually decided it was quicker to bring the truck, 2nd gen with Tradesman cap, back to my house for the fitting (I trusted him). The one I ended up using was at a dealer; I went home and brought both bikes down to the dealership. Sales guy was probably more the golf than MTB type, but he was very patient.

Ironically, our big local MTB event, the Sea Otter Classic, is at Mazda Raceway (Laguna Seca), heavily sponsored by Subaru, with preferred Subie parking and swag, and the vendor/racer areas are packed with Sprinters.

I rode one this summer for a bit. It felt big for a medium, but i normally ride a large 27.5. It felt like it could be real fast, but it better be with that price tag...

I've ridden a 429C (among others) for 4+ years now.... one of the best I've ever ridden. Everything from Leadville 100 to all mountain stuff... just rides great. I did change it to 1x and added some Enve wheels... so the weight (i'm a weight weenie) is around 24 lbs.

Oh. I also paid them about $60 or so to install a bed rug I already had that was missing the install kit.

I would love a sprinter, my old man has one set up for sleeping, and you can haul all the toys. I think Subaru does a great job with there marketing, they realize there customer base and they stick to it well. Even down to the badges you can get not sure if you've seen them. Mazda is still marketing to the driver side of things because we have such a big racing background...

Hahah right it still makes me think about that time we met in the parking lot. "Nice decals, nice truck, oh you like to bike, you like good beer", lets be friends! Also I hit up Buddy to see if he wants to buy my soft top..

I cruise KSL / Craigslist probably once a week trying to convince myself that I don't want a sprinter. #Vanlife is hella easy to do here in UT. I could be a sellout and vanlife it and still drive it to work on the daily.

That said, one of my friends lent me his last year for a week while he was on vacation to test out the lifestyle. No matter how you justify it to yourdself, you realize pretty quickly you are still a "homeless" person living in a van at the end of the day. That is something that is pretty hard to sell to chicks in real life, no matter what Instagram says...

Plus the last thing I need is another car payment / money pit.

Edit: But for a weekend party rig, I could do something like this for pretty cheap

I ride a 2016 Bronson, just recently upgraded to 1x12 Eagle as I was always dying when I rode up in Tahoe. Pulled off the stock guides and replaced them with a pair of Zee's and upgraded the stock 180/160 rotors to 203 F/R I got dirt cheap from Competitive Cyclist.

I'm debating getting the Push ACS Coil kit for the pike, so I have coil bouncy bouncy front and rear but my bank account may require I wait till after the holidays. Thankfully I also have an extremely patient wife who doesn't get upset when I do bike maintenance in the house.

I'd love a coil in the back, just to be different if anything, but I think I got all the rebound and stuff set the way I like it, and don't wanna have to start over. The MRP fork I have is a dream though!

Hahaha that thing is awesome! And yea agreed I still want a home (I need a garage).. and the way you can set up these trucks now you can get pretty dam close to a similar feeling.

Originally when I got my taco I wanted to do the whole rack and RTT thing. The more I think about it though I want to find a great price on a promaster or something similar and outfit it for 3-5 day road trips. So vanlife lite I guess. All the fun, no hobo.

I started with the float X and was never able to get it to be great all over. I could set it really well for tech climbing and trail use, or I could set it really well for chunky descending, but it was always with a noticable lacking on the opposite end. I even went back to the float x after having the 11/6 and spent a fair amount of time with a shock wiz trying to get it dialed.

Had I never run the 11/6 I'm sure I'd have been happy with it, but the traction I get with the coil is just night and day.
