2015 tacoma

Looking into buying a 2015 tacoma, anyone have experience with the reliability and power of this 4.0 motor?

I've driven a lot of Toyota engines, I like the 4.0 the best.

 

And it's been out for what 10 years so I think asking if anyone on a Tacoma Forum has any experience with the reliability of the 4.0 is a tough one?

 

I think the 1GR debuted in 2002....making it 15+ years old

 

Yeah fair point, i guess I’m looking for the comparison to the new 3.5 motor

 

So I guess there is some reliability experience?

Why yes there is and here you go. The rest of the Rules pertain to us all, but the first 2 are more for you at the moment.

SELLERS RULES

3. The subject-line of your post must be a description/name of what you're selling

12. Carfax reports are not allowed to be sold via Tacomaworld
13. Please do not make multiple threads for the same items
14. In order to offer lighting products for sale (as a business, not an individual selling parts from their vehicle), sellers must be on the official Tacoma World vendor list. This is due to overwhelming number of light vendors appearing on the site.

BUYERS
