Got a bolt lock trciever lock. Nice to have a quality receiver lock. I was tired of auto zone ones, cheap and crappy. Anybody have problems with their uws toolbox lid? Can't seem to keep the passenger side bolt tight. With the box lid siting crooked, it drives me nuts.

What did you use to mount it behind your grille?

Curious because I used the BAMF mount to do mine, so wondering about yours.

SHIET! Same here. I had mine sand blasted and re-powder coated for the price of just sand blasting. Turned out awesome. LOVE IT!

I got my driver's license in May 2011 and got pulled over for the first time in May 2017. SIX YEARS!

It was the day my neighbor and I installed my new Boss BVN960 GPS head unit. It was in Doylestown Borough, on Main Street. It was 11pm and I was driving home from the bar where I work after hanging out for open mic night. I'd had two Beck's Non-Alcoholic beers, but no real alcoholic beverages. Instead of paying attention to my speedometer, I was jamming to my upgraded sound system and having a grand old time. I was doing 43 MPH in a 25 MPH zone without even realizing it. I didn't see the cop (my best friend who went home the same way and says he say a marked police vehicle hiding out at the Shell gas station). There was a Ford Taurus behind me, and all of a sudden I see a police SUV in my rear view mirror with it's lights flashing, way back up the hill behind the Taurus.

The Taurus pulled to the side and got out of the cop's way, and I was so far ahead of the cop that I had no idea he was after me. I thought he was just responding to a call and expected him to just blow right past me. I pulled over and to my absolute shock he pulled to the side of the road behind me.

On a side note, I have Asperger's Syndrome, and one classic trait of Aspies is that we do not deal well with changes to our normal routine. When I first got my license, my parents went over with me how to handle a traffic stop, but I made it to my first license renewal without being pulled over (a driver's license is valid for 4 years in Pennsylvania). Another two years passed before I got pulled over, and I became rather complacent. In my mind, I was going a little fast but hadn't done anything worthy of being stopped, and this cop had pretty much ruined my night. The drive home from Doylestown is something sacred to me. As I said before, I work at a bar and I often work late. One time I was tailgated by a bored local cop who was undoubtedly looking to bust a drunk driver. He rode my back bumper for quite a while, and when my license plate number yielded nothing interesting, he turned left and disappeared.

I'd also heard a story of a sober driver who got pulled over in Doylestown Borough after a long day at work, for unknowingly driving without his lights on. The driver's word wasn't good enough, and he was forced to take a breathalyzer. He obviously passed the breathalyzer, but still...

In addition to that, I'd encountered my very first DUI checkpoint in March 2017. As a barback who'd just worked like 10 hours, I was probably one of the only people driving home from a bar on Saint Patrick's Day who had any business behind the wheel. It was just a few simple questions, but god was that ever nerve-wracking...

So, when this police officer pulled me over in May 2017, I was afraid I was about to be pulled out of my Tacoma and forced to do a field sobriety test. As I was sitting there, I got angrier and angrier. The officer seemed to take forever, and I finally blew up. I saw him get out of his SUV, and screamed "I don't know why the hell I got pulled over!"

Oh, I found out why I got pulled over alright. How's $180 for 18 MPH over the speed limit sound?

The officer also seemingly went out of his way to find anything he possibly could to nail me for. He checked the inspection sticker on my truck, which was valid through the end of October. My insurance was valid, my registration was good through August, and a check of my driving record revealed that it was totally clean. I was never asked if I was drinking or if there was anything in the vehicle he needed to know about. He just handed me the ticket and I left.

I was just going to pay the ticket, until some online research revealed that 18 MPH would result in 4 points on my license if I just paid it. Screw that! Luckily I have a friend who's a very good lawyer. I spoke to him the next day, got a discount on the retainer, and set the wheels into motion to make sure my record stayed clean.

My court date ended up being postponed until September 2017. A lot of factors contributed to the delay. The officer showed up before my lawyer did, and said he was going to knock it down to 5 MPH over, which by PA law is no worse than a parking ticket. Translation: No points!

I took the opportunity to apologize to the officer, shake his hand, and explain that I had Asperger's Syndrome. He knew exactly what AS was, and all was good.

In the end, I still paid quite a bit of money, but my driving record remained clean and my insurance rates stayed low...

Mine was a little worn and paint flaking off. Hit it with universal bonding primer and three coats of flat black rustoleum. Been mint ever since.

    I love it.

I just put 265/70’s on my prerunner but there was some rubbing (stock height, no lift). Rubbing was easily gotten rid of by removing the mud flaps and the little plastic pieces mounted in the front of the wheel wells (its only purpose seemed to be to cause rubbing lol). Hope this helps.

Oh, and I definitely got stuck in some deep sand today. But I still had fun and learned a thing or two for the future.
