"NOTE: These shocks can support up to 3 inches of lift."

So, regardless of what kind of shocks, my question is when they say this, do they mean that the shocks themselves will raise your vehicle up to 3inches or literally "support", meaning if you had lifting blocks, for example???

 

It means the shock has a long enough stroke to accommodate up to a 3" lift.
They will not provide any lift. They will not work like lifting blocks.

 

One of the black sleeves covering the shaft on my OME shock fell down. Any ideas on how to get it back up?

 

Slide it back to the top and add a zip tie

It’s got the small pinches and the ring that is supposed to help it from sliding so it won’t go all the way back up.

Same thing with one of mine. Have to take the tire off and pry it back on. It’s a pain.

 

^ Was just about to say pry.
Take a flat head and carefully pry it up and over that lip. Just be careful not to scratch the shock shaft.

 

Yup. I found that one of my deaver bolts just barely rubbed against the dust boot at full stuff. So I have had to put mine back on a couple times. Real pain.

 

Gahhh. Hopefully it isnt too hard.

 

It sucks. I’m not going to lie. Two small flatheads and work your way around in a circle. I have to do mine after Idyllwild this weekend. Check your deavers and see if the bolt is rubbing. I have to address the issue myself. Different bolt or grind the head down a bit.

Ok I'll give that a go. I have dakars and idk if they're that much different than deavers so I'll give them a look.
