Or get ya a case of ammo and shoot the hell out of it until it smooths out! Which will be infinitely more fun (and expensive) than the flitz. I've done a few .25 cent trigger jobs (and a couple $$ trigger jobs) on Glocks, and polishing helps.

Help me out: First .22 rifle for a 7 year old. Do I go with a single shot bolt action to get the process down (Like a Cricket) or something he can grow into (like a 10/22)?

I recommend the 10/22. Single shot bolt actions are boring and will make your child lose interest. Semi auto with 25rds is much more fun.

The last Taurus Pistol I bought was in 1990, it was a new PT-92 great shooting pistol (still have it) but Taurus quality sure has went downhill. Trade that thing in for something you like and trust.
I recently traded in a Ruger LC9 with a terrible trigger, for a LC9s and solved my bad trigger problem. Just my .02

If he ever decides it's a little boring as is there are worlds of possibilities to modify too. I have my 10/22 setup now for long range silhouette matches shooting 200 meters, keeps things fun for sure.

I own a Taurus PT738 .380. The gun is close to 5 years old never had a issue with feeding I managed to drop a 125LB Hog at 15 yards with it so I'll continue to buy there guns.

I think this thing is going to be OK. removed the slide and worked the trigger for 2 hours last night while watching TV, getting better.........I think the issue I have / had is with the trigger safety. Need to pull straight back to fully disengage the trigger safety. any sideways pressure while pulling, has a slight catch mid pull.

I almost just bought this gun on black Friday at Academy sports they were running a 2 gun special for 289. The guns were the taurus and 22 LR revolver. I do recall reading that the gun does have a long trigger pull instead of a heavy trigger.

They make a nice wheel gun but I wouldn't buy their semi auto pistols

yep, I liked that one too., the FDE is exclusive to Academy I think. Bass pro matched cabelas price of 219 stianelss slide, and some promo credit card stuffs, out the door for 188. I am ok with long trigger pull.

I've been tempted to pick up a Taurus 605 but I've been hesitant with the limited experience I've had with the brand which has been semis that I have not been at all impressed with.

Yeah I don't mind a long trigger pull. My Savage .270 hunting rifle has a long trigger pull. It just takes some time getting use to. I think every gun you buy you should become familiar and comfortable with it so shooting it becomes 2nd nature.

I love it, very nice. my only gripe, is low capacity. 7+1. hence my quest for something with a bit more capacity.
