Need some prayers...

Prays going their way. My mom was born way early too. Weight a pound an a half, turned out okay the only thing that didn’t develop was the third lobe in her right lung.

Sadly she passed away last night. Peacefully.

Having lost our first grandchild, I do have empathy for the heartache of the parents and others in the family. There's really not much 'right' to say other than "I'm sorry", and praying for peace that is beyond our understanding for the family.

I would suggest that at some point in a few weeks that the parents get grief counseling. Even programs like Grief Share, which are free, but not personalized, are good. They help you with the wild mix of emotions that come with the grieving process.

Additionally it's important that a tragedy like this makes the couple's relationship stronger. Too many times one or both don't handle it well and it breaks the relationship apart. The counseling can help with that.

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. I really can't imagine what they are going through. I've been blessed with 3 healthy boys and I don't know how hard it would be to come back from something like that. That being said they are 2 of the most grounded people I know and as tragic as this is, I could never see it tearing them apart.

My wife came close to death had major complications had less then a 10% survival rate. Our baby girl was born not moving or breathing. I sat and prayed for 6 hours my wife would make it through and she is a 100% recovered. Our baby is as healthy as any baby. Being that close to losing everything I can say this prays helped me. I’m praying your brother in law and his wife remain strong through these times. With support of family and friends they will get through this.

As a "new" father (my son is 3 and my daughter is almost 2), this is the stuff that breaks my heart.

I can't imagine what they went, are, and will go through.

All sort of good vibes and prayers to them.

 

So sorry to hear this. Its going to be hard for a while but your faith will help you all work through this. Still in our prayers.
