    No idea on shops.
    Just saying hi since I plan to be in the area saturday if the weather is nice. Taking the kids fishing and riding some dirt roads. Maybe find that waterfall.

    I have the lockright. First gen like you, v6. I love it! Very noisy on tight turns like pulling into parking spaces, but the road manners are great. Will unlock on turns up to about 2200rpm, then locks up and scrubs a little. Barely noticeable unless you gas it on tight turns. In the rain you have to learn how it acts, if you aren't careful you can drift the rear end pretty easily, but just be light on the gas when turning and you'll be fine. I have had it make the loud unloading noise on me twice, both times were hard turns while backing a trailer. Not a big deal

    Offroad it's amazing. Never had it not locked when I need it. If you get a lot of slip in one side or get a wheel off the ground, you feel a small jolt then it's locked up 100% like it should be. I have a Spartan in my front end as well that acts similarly.

    If you go let me know your thoughts on the place. My wife and I have spent the weekend at Pickwick Landing State Park Inn a couple years ago and had a good time. Dry Creek is in that area and was thinking of next summer heading back down there and doin a little exploring.

    What's so bad about That? I'm assuming maybe a lot of body roll and poor ride quality with no weight in the back because the spring weight would be so heavy? Just interested why you think that, I don't know nearly as much about suspension as you

    That's what I was hoping to hear on the Lockright- I had an Older('06) PT No-Slip style in my '05 Chevy P/U w/ 2wd worked about the same from what your describing. Thanks for all your help.

    If you get in the area of the Pickwick dam...just on the North side of it there's a really cool little store/restaurant called the Outpost General Store. Great food and the kids would love it.

    Once it's broke in, it will stop making that random loud pop on engagement and disengagement. Also switching from Mobil One synthetic to Amsoil make a big difference in noise. It's completely quiet now.

    The pop is only when it unloads, which was just the 2 times with the trailer. When it engages I can feel a light jolt that is barely noticeable, but it doesn't make noise.
    I'm running Lucas Oil rn. I remember you mentioning the Amsoil before I got the locker, but thought I'd try the Lucas first because it's what I found and some other guys recommended it.

    This could be why I hear my CVs "shifting" when my wheel is cut pulling in and out of driveways or parking spots.
    Fluid really made that much difference? Change interval of Amsoil?
