All of that stuff is on my SR5 doublecab, except for the chrome crap, leather trimmed steering wheel, and power lumbar support. My friend has chrome grill/handles on his SR5, so it seems like the power lumbar is really the only thing that might be unique to the Limited...

My friend used to joke that my old 5 lug was a “limited” edition, in that it was extremely limited, as it didn’t even have power windows or locks.

You know I never understood why Toyota called it Limited. Doesn't the definition of "Limited" contradict everything a Limited trim level is?

Hence why my friend made fun of my truck that way, lol...

But really, “limited” does define it pretty well. The usefulness of the trim package, imo, is pretty limited... never understood leather seats or fake wood on a 4x4...

I wouldn’t say no to one, but I could do without all the fancy crap. Power windows is plenty “fancy” for my 4x4.

My old Tacoma was a deluxe, and had everything but the chrome and the leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob... but it did have power lumbar support... I'm so confused :anonymous:

It's possible the previous owner swapped the seats for the limited seats, but unlikely...

Had to be... only Limiteds had those power lumbar seats. Strange.

As far as I know, it made sense to pick a package if you wanted a few options from it. It was usually cheaper to get the SR5 if you wanted a few things like cruise control and power windows and get the other stuff as a bonus freebie.

It was/is possible to pick and choose every option like a completely base Tacoma double cab and then add the limited seats or something weird. I have a 2003 Double Cab 4x4 SR5, TRD Off-Road, and Convenience Packages
    PLUS a sunroof.

Also, if you do your research, it is EASY to find old brochures that spell it out completely clear on what packages included what. Here are the packages from the 2003 Tacoma catalog (click the image to make it bigger):

    You have the "SR5 Color-Keyed Package", @jbrandt

I actually have a combo of the sr5 color keyed, trd, and convenience packages for my 2004, which is essentially a “limited” without the power lumbar, as I said before.

Not that I really care about what fancy color package it has; my fender flairs have been sanded down and recovered with plastidip, and my bumpers will soon be steel and able to hold a winch, and my grill will probably get painted soon, too. At least it’s not chrome, I hate chrome. :D

I have door tweeters so that is probably not a limited only option.

Limited seats with the power lumbar support are a god send. :kona:

Someone find me a white DC limited v6 trd with 4x4, if there's one out there - unicorns do exist.

SR5 has a 6 speaker option, too (see above). Plus, @PROseur has a "poverty spec" double cab with 6 speakers. I personally take issue with his double cab being labeled as a "poverty spec" :boink: (I wasn't allowed to call my 5 lug, 4 cyl manual everything a poverty spec only because it was a fancy-pants x-tracab - you got 2 extra doors buddy!), but that's for another thread... :D

There are things are truly limited and desired. Like Margot Robbie, or 4 door Gen 1 Limited, like people are talking about.

Then there are things that are very limited, like no one wants, like Rosie O Donell or my gen 1 4 door, with no upgrades.

Most people when they bought poverty spec gen 1, it was usually regular cab. Once you got into 4 doors, they were all optioned up.

So mine is a true unicorn, as it is essentially a 5 lugger reg cab model, WITH extra doors. Most people in their life hasn't seen a 4 door with no tach or no clock. It truly is a Taliban special or US Poverty Spec.

Of course my unicorn is not desired by anyone. But thats ok . I love it. :)

lol, you have a Rosie O'Donell...

I'm just razin' you. I don't know if you've trolled around the poverty spec thread, but there's a lot of "oh you have speakers?" or "you have a factory clock? I taped a watch to my steering wheel" type talk in there. All in good fun of course.

I created the thread, so I am familiar with it ;)

I don't have a clock. No intermittent wipers. No cruise control. Black face gauge. No Tachometer. No trip o meter. Factory black grille and front and rear black bumpers. Factory black door handles. Factory black mirrors. The options I am missing list is longer than the options I actually have :D :D

My truck is not only rosie o donell (fat, lowest powered, lowest spec), it is the SSBBW special of the 909 ;) :D

aww dammit, you ARE the op on that thread, aren't you... lol

Shows you how much I actually pay attention...

You basically have the DC version of the '97 5 lug I used to have. Seems like not having a clock would had to have been a special order type thing, lol. "No no, I DON'T want a clock. I'll wait 6 months while you build me one."

Actually, I like the look of the black better (did I mention I hate chrome?). I have the black mirrors, oddly enough too, everything else (was) color matched.

Those are some fancy alloy wheels you got there... :)

correct. I had to start a thread, for my true unicorn :D

My 16 inch wheels were a dealer upgrade package for $250. I much prefer the true 15 inches of heavy steel my DC was supposed to come with.

Funny thing is, I miss NOT having the clock the most. I have to look at my IphoneX every time I drive the poverty spec to check the time.

I know I could change it, but that would take away from the spirit of the Taliban special.

Fender flares were rhino lined as well as bottom panels by previous owner. I do not see a limited badge anywhere, there is an SR5 badge on the cab though.

I have FM/AM CD and Cassete player as a stereo. Sunroof, 6 speakers, adjustable lumbar support (push button), chrome trim but I replaced the front grill cause it was busted. I don't have all of the chrome pieces you mentioned above though, the front bumper is also not color matched.
