    Still waiting on delivery for my gift I got for my giftee.

    I feel kind of bad... every year I keep saying I'll put a lot of time and creativity into the gift but every year I never have the time to do so. I'm pretty sure they'll like the gift but I feel underwhelmed by the fact I just clicked on a item I think they'll like.

    Oh I know, it's all good. I like giving gifts so it was more about me than anything else :) I've received some insanely amazing homemade/crafted gifts the past two years so I wanted to do the same.

    Yup, Joe Lauzon! I "met" him at a local UFC Fight Night event in one of the casinos here in CT. Actually "met" him at UFC 154 up in Montreal as well, when GSP made him comeback after being out for a while and fought Carlos Condit for the belt.

    Lauzon is one of my all time favorites. In his prime he was so technical, tough and intelligent. Always a great fight. It's always sad to see your favorites at the end of their careers when they are obviously succumbing to Father Time. It's like with Cerrone. A bunch of us used to drive down to Castle Rock to watch his first few professional fights when he was with the Ring of Fire promotion.

    Agreed. It is tough to watch... especially in my case with Lauzon's last few fights. But that's life I guess. Still a big fan of his. He was super cool when I "met" him. Got a couple of things autographed!
