I would of done it but I don't have a spring compressor.

 

You can rent one for $50 at Vato Zone. You get your money back when you return it.

Those spring compressors are sketchy af Teddy Brosevelt! I would've taken it to GAS in Woodstock and it would've been done correctly and cheap. Then hiked back up to my place and put everything back together

 

Those widow maker compressors will kill you...I’ve had coils jump/shoot out of them in the past.

I went this route for my rebuilds now:

 

I've heard horror stories from a friend. On my first truck, I let him do all the compressing because he knew what was doing and is a little dumber than me. On my other 2 trucks, I just had ToyTec pre-assemble them for $100.

 

That's what GAS has and it works perfect, took 5-10 minutes and was free
