    EDIT:
    Orders are open here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/meso-customs-3rd-brake-light-housings.600147/

It's me again:wave: Messing with more stuff.
I wanted to build a new 3rd brake light that incorporated @Baja Designs LED rock lights.
Being all the same size, and available in different colors I decided I wanted 3 red Brake, and 2 white cargo.

So the design started. The stock shape is a little funky and has slight curves that match to the body. I HATED the fact Toyota made the new lights "not removable" from the outside anymore...well I'm gonna change that.

From drawing to in hand. Sweet! 3D Printed Super strong and durable Nylon
    [IMG]

Also made a 2nd Gen while I was at it
    [IMG]

It was then coated with SEM "chip guard" for a nice and durable finish
    [IMG]

Lights installed next to the crappy stock one
    [IMG]

Next was the prep and install.
After dropping the headliner, and removing the 2X 10mm Nuts holding the stock one in..this is what it looks like
    [IMG]

I installed "jack nuts" or crush nuts that will give me a threaded insert. Now I can pull the brake light out FROM THE OUTSIDE if needed.

I designed it so a rubber gasket can be recessed to seal it. Also I put some RTV in the wire holes for added insurance
    [IMG]

And if the seal wasn't good enough, I put a bead around it for double protection
    [IMG]

The access screws are behind the Left and right LED lights, just move them out of the way to tighten the bolt down. New bolt(1/4-20) with rubber O-ring
    [IMG]

Press the end lights back in
    [IMG]

Wiring was next. I dropped the new wires into the headliner, and grabbed them from outside the slider window. I could have sourced the OEM connector... bit ain't nobody got time for that.

OEM WIRING COLORS ARE AS FOLLOWS
    white/blk- ground
    Green-Cargo
    Purple-Brake

    All done!

    Top View.

Side view. I am VERY happy with the fitment and light placement. The housing matches the cab perfect and the lights are exactly vertical
    [IMG]

I guess you want to see some light pics???

    Brake:

    No joke..these are BRIGHT
    [IMG]

    Both on:bananadead:

    UPDATE:
I have now designed a KC version for their CYCLONE lights!

You need to slow down, take a deep breath, relax. You're moving way too fast. :rofl:Looks fantastic though.

I know it was brought up in the other thread, but will you be potentially making one that can fit KC cyclones?
