Straightforward easy to use. They got shipped to a Firestone. They contacted me when they received them and then I set up a time to get them on. Firestone on the other hand sucks. I asked them to put my tires to 34 PSI. I got 49 front right, 45 front left rear right and 40 rear left. Even if they never heard the guy yell to them 34 from inside the shop, that is just gross incompetence. But hey they are the same Firestone that didn't put the cap on after changing my oil which led to it leaking out and me ruining the engine (they paid my insurance claim...)

Good to hear. The shops generally don't like it since they're only making money off the install and not the tires but it allows them to make a good impression on a customer that might not have gotten before.

I also got mine via Tirebuyer (ebay). No issues at all, delivered to my house. Fast shipping, good price (~$500 for 265/75-16 p-rated). Had them mounted and balanced on new wheels at Walmart (<$80). Missed out on the DTD deal by couple of weeks unfortunately.

just got on my 285 75 16 Falkens t3w on stock wheels... 3" front and 2" rear lift 1.25 spacers...

our local roads here has been flooding and haven't had issues with hydroplaning
So far the tires handle great in the rain! no noise what so ever and feels no different then stock tires that came with the 2014 Tacoma off road except way better grip.

This is my daily driver, so the Falkens t3w works great! I would say better than the KO2's. less noise, handles better in the rain... As for trailing, Falkens will work fine but KO2's slightly better but it all depends on how hard you go... I just trail along rivers to look for fishing spots and places to drop in my boat. As for the snow that will have to come later... the best part is the price.

if you do some heavy off/crawling this setup is not for you! You will definitely need more clearance, if your going to try and climb things. ;)
this is fine on back country trails where I go.

With full lock no rub moving backwards or forwards. I love the stock rim look so I ended up lifting the truck 3" front + 2" rear. with 1.25 spidertrax spacers. I could heat the plastic a little to give me more clearance.

Had to take off the front mud flaps to make it work.

More gap than you can tell from the pic.
    Full Lock

Trim or heating could be done

its already loaded my friend. I have two canopies, tent, a grill, cooler. fishing gear everything I will ever need to go off the grid and still is fine when I tow my drift boat.. just remember this is not a rock crawler or a construction truck.

I also have two sand bags left over in the truck.. the pics that you see has all of that currently in the back.

At the risk of sounding like an A hole, you would probably be the first guy on TW to not need a CMC to clear 285's. How much caster up front?

No one's ever cleared to 285s without a CMC even on a lifted truck?

Now thats a great questions. I'll have to ask the tech but I think he said around 2.5 caster. I also think it could be how the tires are. I put on KO2's and rubbed a lil didn't rub what so ever on the Falkens... trust me I though I had to do some cutting.

I'm at 5degrees caster 1.25" spacer on stock sport rims and rubbed like crazy till I went at it with a cut off wheel.

So from what I have researched and seen its the tacoma sports are the ones that have more of issues of rub than the trd off road. Sports also have a 17"? not sure if that makes any difference its just what I have noticed. I followed that white tacoma hoping I would do lil trim and it ended up I didn't have to do anything but pull the muds flaps off. so far pulled my 15 foot drift boat on some pretty nasty boat launches and trails still haven't rubbed as you can see the cmc has no rub yet... I'm sure it will rub if I do some heavy off roading but I can't with my drift boat anyways and I don't really plan on tucking my tire since I don't classify my self as a off roader so it works for me. but for just sitting I see lots of people having issues with rub on full lock.

I wonder if a negative offset helps. Something like -12
