He’s done a good job with my alignment. And he works with, and discusses stuff with me.

I think he’s learned from your truck, which initially had the SPC LR’s, right?

And he’s worked with@Sub-Zero ’s truck, with the same UCA’s.

By that time, he turned into the master when my truck came on board, because I have the exact same UCA’s

    Plus, I’m a great tipper. :)

    Edit: And I bring doughnuts.

Never underestimate the power of doughnuts.

You need to provide a link to @stairgod since I BELIEVE you are refuting one of his statements of fact.

Well I DID have a few quotes queued up for response 3 pages ago.

@The Hunter First, I can't just go off of the old saying "you get what you pay for" when reasoning is asked of you. I'm definitely not buying because of price. I'm buying because of quality. These discussions are what helps me to decide.
Second, I appreciate you debating without being an ass, or at least trying not to be, on an internet forum. It makes it easier to actually hear what you're saying. That being said, reread my first comment. I want proof. I'm a numbers and facts guy, not conjecture.

    @stairgod thank you for that.

@Blackout14 @stairgod @Arcticelf @Subway4X4. @cynicalrider you're talking about limiting factors. Since I'm pretty new to all this lifted trucks and off-road and droop and travel and whatever else, can you explain further or maybe provide a link to a thread that I can read more about it? I'm currently running 5100s with OEM springs set at the highest notch. When I get my plate bumper and winch ready to install, I was planning on upgrading the coilovers. At the very least, I'll swap out the OEM coils for Eibach springs to handle the weight. As time and money allows, I might go with bilstein 6112 (can't remember the number off the top of my head and I'm writing this all on my phone, whatever setup @Subway4X4 has) when I upgrade to a different shock, I'll get aftermarket UCAs.

I am closing on my house tomorow and it's wiping account more than I thought. May not have money for the upgraded suspension like I had thought right now. But that shouldn't be an issue in a couple months since I won't have a mortgage to pay! I'm living in one of the apartments in the triplex, and the other two apartments will be paying enough to cover my mortgage. #househack

    I 100% support this post.

Standard travel vs extended is done with a spacer not anything relating to internal limiting devices.

Uniballs suck for a DD. I clean and lube them religiously and get absolutely knowhere near the life out of them as a simple balljoint.

Hunter I don't have limit straps. My front droop is limited but the all mighty tc control arm slamming into the coils. How come I haven't broken a coil yet:notsure:

    You don’t have JBA coils.

Limit strap would cause the coilover to not over extend... which is what a limit strap is supposed to do..

Pardon my saying so, but it's shit like this that makes him so salty. We all know how @The Hunter is on here. Maybe it's because of these type of comments. I'm neither sticking up for nor putting him down. We all can learn something from someone. I've been somewhat of a dick to him on here in the past and all it does is create a negative environment. Like a person or not, we can all learn something from someone.

Hey Mark, the thing that I need to make clear, based on my experience since I had 5100's, then switched fairly quickly to B6112's:

The coil springs DO NOT interchange with 5100 and 6112, because of the configuration/shape of the bottom and top of the coils (round vs. flat for the Eibachs)

The only coils that I know of that will fit the 5100's are the OEM Coils and the OME 88X series. The OME886's WILL fit, but since they are heavier coils, they really won't work well with the 5100's.

So, if your intent is to go with a heavier spring rate with the 5100's, then I believe your options are not there.

The reason I went to the B6112's is because they can reasonably handle a heavier 700# coil. And that coil is made by Eibach. Yo cannot use a OEM or OME 88X coil with these shocks.

There are eibach springs that work with 5100s, but they are shorter and don't provide much lift. IIRC they are a 620 lb coil, which is at least a little more than OME.

Ohhh. Ok. I got it now. So either I use an OME spring which doesn't work well with the 5100 or I spend the money for the B6112s and Eibach springs.

Damn. Maybe I won't be getting this bumper and winch on anytime soon. Maybe in a couple months when I build up my cash reserves again.

    Sorry Mark. Gotta say it.

If people don't bring up the fact that he provides un-supported information, then there are gonna be peeps that will actually believe some of the shit that he says.

    Yupper to this.

But another option is to get a used OME 886 Coil and OME Shock from the TW market place.

@Sub-Zero runs this setup on his bumper/winch combo and it has worked extremely well for him.

Can someone explain spring rate quickly or provide a link so I can read? I know you guys have probably read over something like this already, so that's why I ask.
