    Yep.
Because secretly he's a Dodge fanboy like me, but he's still ashamed of it.
Although I personally only really like the ones that are old enough to vote, lol.

A nice "slow" day at work today... so far... only a measly 270 inbound emails so far. :pccoffee:

    Sweet.

588 so far on the day.
If I count the emails that autofile, 967. :frusty:

Edit: Fortunately, 376 of them were online order confirmations, and most of them just require a cursory glance to make sure nothing's being transferred/backordered. I've only had to call about 50-60 customers so far to tell them that they won't see delivery tomorrow.

I feel your pain... I don't even want to count the outbound ones, since just about every one I get takes at least 2 emails out.

Today's actually been halfway decent for the outbound emails required; I'm only at 143 outgoing so far.

Of course, this is all on top of roughly 250-300 inbound calls, haha!

Haha, I just stopped at a Dodge dealer on my way home today but it looks like I am going with a Sierra. The RAM Rebel looks nice! But I think the deal on a Chevy is hard to beat. The Ford is too expensive to get the motor and package I would want.

I didn't pull the trigger on a new one, too much money and not enough in my trade. Rumor is the new diesel is the 3.0 that the Land Rover has and, if that's true, it should be a decent little power plant. I fear it's going to add another $5-6k onto the sticker though which lands you at an almost $60k XLT!
That's the thing that is killing me, or one of them rather. I am absolutely not a Dodge fan in the slightest. I love Cummins though and I want to love diesel but the EPA has done their best to ruin them. It's a real commitment now to own a diesel and not a cheap commitment at that. I'm not sure I want to cross into the abyss that is Chrysler and/or deal with the new diesel BS.
One of the reasons I'm even remotely considering the Ram is the way they dress their trucks (aside from Cummins, I won't buy a hemi). I can still get a stick shift with the Cummins so that should get around the junk transmission issues and I can get a crew cab diesel Tradesman for about the same as an XLT 150. The Ford has more gadgets but a lot of them I don't need or want. Ford's XLs come stripped down a lot more than Dodge's base models it seems. Plus the Dodge, or any other 3/4 ton, will come equipped to tow out of th box, not some stupid option package I need to pay extra for.
That is one thing that does sort of irritate me about Ford. I obviously have one now but I bought it used so it came with whatever I was lucky enough to get. I didn't know a lot about the option packages at the time but this one came dressed well enough for me so I bought it. Now, I know what options I want such as specific axle ratios, towing, etc. The problem is, if you want option X, well that only comes with this trim level and this option package. Lots of the ones on the dealer lots come without a receiver or with a receiver and without the tow package (which is utterly stupid). If you want the max tow package and the heavy payload package, short of a custom order, they seem impossible to find. It might frustrate me enough to go buy something else when the time comes, we'll see...

My uncle, his father, and a guy at my work all had to order one from the factory to get the f150 spec' d the way they wanted. There are too many trims, and packages, and it seems like the dealers all order the exact same trucks, at least in this region.

Yep, that's where I'm at. Was hoping to get a good deal on a 17 right now but the Ford's are picked fairly clean, but even if I could find one with the 3.5 EB, tow package, Sync audio, etc., I'm looking at an XLT Lariat and 45k. Sucks. But I can get a '17 Sierra with what I want for around 36. It's a big enough difference to sway me towards a GMC product, and to be honest I love the way they look. The interiors however on the Fords are way better.

What gearing in the gm? Are they easier to find with the lower gears?

Haha gotta have a day off. Hopefully everything will good by spring then we can get a cookout going.

Ya an oversized garage was a must but the workshop was a bonus

Boom! Guy left it all set up with some Sierra Nevada left in the keg. Win!

Trans or final drive? If I get the V8 I can get a 6 speed which is what I want rather than the 8 speed or even the Ford with a 10sp. I don't like the idea of all those gears in the transmission for towing. Dont know about the rear end, it tows 9000 or something like that so that's what I care about.

Congrats! That's gotta feel great. I was SO close with the '13. I was planning on using the money from the sale of the STi to buy a 300ZX TT and pay off the truck. We all know how that turned out for me. My loan is comparatively small on the '16 and I'm working on paying it down, so hopefully I can jettison it sooner than the term I have it for.

Agreed 100%. When I moved out of my Mom's house into my apartment, I had zero debt. School and the STi were both paid off. I was extremely fortunate with school coming out with loans for only my housing.

I never had a payment on the Vette, but I feel like most people must think I do. If I get one more snide comment about having to sell it now that I have a child, I'm going to go off on them. A co-worker made a comment like you won't believe how much you give up for your kids. I guarantee you sell the Vette within a year or two. It costs me basically insurance and fuel to own, and that's hardly stressing the budget. Granted, if I lost my job, I'd sell it to pay off the truck and / or Jeep to reduce our cash outflow, but short of something catastrophic, it's not going anywhere.

Congrats! It's the best feeling in the world...followed up by the worst feeling in the world. I walked into my house for the first time and went "I own this!!!!" and immediately went "I...ummm, own this?!" and walked downstairs to find a leaking oil tank.

It's a shame they don't offer Maxcare on the diesel. I've got the $200 deductible plan on the Jeep so basically for as long as I own it and the cost of the repair is less than the actual cash value of the Jeep, it is covered as long as it's not considered normal wear and tear.
