Same here, but I still use the knob occasionally. I'm not in a hurry to wear out those steering wheel controls...and they definitely wear out. I like the sleek appearance of the screen, and black silicon rings won't take much away from that. Plus, they got gription, which is important.

 

Plasti-dipped the bumper caps. My lucky ass just had to get old fucking cans so fucking air bubbles everywhere. -.- Fortunately you can't see it unless up close.

 

Yea, now that I see they come in orange if you look around I might just do it for the look. I like gription! Or grippage.

Remove like a 50lb part ,getting ready for some flex little trail rides.
prob won't install it back i will just adjust the stiffness of 2.5

I live in the mountains on windy roads or I would have considered doing this...the kings do make it better tho.

 

Installed a KB Voodoo remote start. Took me about an hour in all; and that was taking my time, triple checking that I had the right wires before connecting. I also soldered all the connections. The only one that was somewhat difficult was the 2 OBD2 connections, as I didn't have much slack. The rest went smooth.

 

Tinted the wife's 4Runner installed new Grill in my Taco

Today I finished installing the windshield on my baja Cali (hecho) trd OR dc . Been leaking since day one . I took the truck into the dealership and they told me that the tint guy must have adjusted my sunroof and the wouldn't warrnty it any longer. I took the headliner down because it' out of warranty today . It was the windshield . I taped of the sunroof off and the windshield . With the headliner down had someone hose it down ... Then I removed the windhield tape and it poured ...bingo .
I'm a dealership collision tech . They screwed me on purpose. Btw it was under warranty when I took it in .. It was dripping right through the overhead console . Anyway glad its fixed . Some windshield urethane fixed it. It's the only issue I've ever had with the truck.

 

How do you like those wheels compared to the originals that came with the truck. Where you able to reuse the same tpms ? I’m debating getting these for my 2018.

Finish as in quality/paint etc? Fine. Welded end caps and not the plastic kind you see on the extremely cheap ones. Paint is good, but not like they are anodized or such. Good for what they are...nerf bars or steps, not rock sliders/rails. Makes washing the truck a little easier.

Can't really say about the originals for the Tacoma they came off 20 miles after I bought it! Loved the the ones that came off the 4Runner Powder coated them and put them on my 2nd Gen. But I really like the Sema Wheels
