I don't want to step on any toes or anything, but I don't have time to read through all of this. That being said, my Battleborn order of Total Chaos bed stiffeners would have showed up earlier in the week if TC didn't require a stupid "adult signature" from UPS. So long story short I was able to make it to the UPS depot today to pick it up. That was way quicker than I expected. I had great communication and pulled the trigger before any of this was going on. That being said, because of the PayPal transaction I wasn't worried. And this wasn't the first time I was dealing with one company name and invoiced from another name. It's as simple as a registered business name (for tax purposes) and a "does business as" name (for marketing purposes). I'm sorry for those that may have had bad dealings, and that sucks if it's the case that he has flaked out on transactions. But, my personal experience was great. Just my $.02

I’m not trying to stir the pot but how is it that you have the login for Moore Racing’s PayPal? How did you meet this Chas guy and start a business with him and not know he has scammed a lot of people across multiple forums?

He gave me the log in info? I’m doing everything I can to help. I met chas by doing personal business with him for my own personal vehicle, which I had no problems with him before. Sometimes there were lead times, which is understandable, this isn’t Amazon.

Did you become friends? I’m not understanding the starting of a business with someone you did personal business with on your vehicle?

I was just barely three years old lay off me!!

It all started off back in the day when I was looking for a good deal on parts. My friend referred me to his parts guy, the chas. Away we talked parts a lot. He was very knowledgable and helped me learn a ton about trucks and the off road side of parts. And it blossomed from there. Love at first sight some may say...

I would advise that in the future when you partner with someone and give your name and social security number for a business license, that you do some more research on that person. You are now liable for anything he does through that company. Hopefully he doesn’t drag your name down as well.

You should wait until he releases the novel so all the juicy details aren't spoiled. Until then maybe you can let him you know, focus on the orders people made with him? I don't see this kind of questioning bearing any fruit that will help anyone involved. The guy obviously wouldn't make this mistake again. Chill.

Well my last post was to make him aware that this tacomaworld shit may not be the worst of what he goes through. He’s a partner in a business with a known con artist, and maybe he wasn’t aware that he can be held liable for that. It seems he may be “young and dumb” because jumping into a business with a guy and doing no research on him is insane. But hey I have no interest in this thread, I did not do any business with battleborn it @Babyjake16.

    Hey Rick,

I feel I was very purposeful with my words in my last post. I don’t believe I ever cursed, and in fact, I believe I mentioned only that we should all just be courteous professionals while working thru “kinks” like this.

Intentions mean everything. I personally do not believe that Jake ran his business with immoral or unethical intentions. I cannot speak for your experiences or the other person involved since I have never interacted with him. However, Jake’s actions thus far have been on par with my expectations, so I was simply offering another perspective for consideration.

I meant no offense, altho some other comments in this thread were definitely made with that intent. I understand being frustrated. And we all have a bit of skin in the game - so things are extra tense. We are all entitled to our feelings and frustrations, my perspective was only that we bring it down a notch since getting everyone hyped up isn’t going to resolve any issues.

He's gaining experience, and hopefully learning. How else does one grow? I started my business when I was 35. Give the kid some credit for stepping up early. Give him some more credit for stepping up and covering his business partner's shortcomings.

Jake, keep up the good work of doing the right thing here. It's gonna be alright and you'll come out of this with our respect and the right to feel proud of your accomplishments.

Just because you partnered with a fucktard doesn't make you one. Yeah, fuck that guy...but it sounds like you're alright.

    OK I'll play too!
I bought BD lights from the group buy put together by @Babyjake16 back in August when it got shut down for sharing discount.

    Anyway...
I got the lights, nothing wierd, good communication. Only thing was that the lights were shipped from BD to them, then to me and delivery took longer because of the Vegas shotting and they were closed for a day or two or something like that. Whatever, I got the lights.

I little issue is/was that one of the light was defective and they wanted me to send it to BD so they could "repair" it. I said fack no I want a "new" light. So I shipped it back to Moore racing(battle born) whatever they're called. I guess they sent it to BD. It has been almost a month and I haven' received my new light.

A second light I returned for a refund, no issues with that. They actually gave me the same discount and I ended up ordering alight bar and paying the difference. Always a PayPal invoice in the middle. I got that light bar today.

I got no intention to bash on this guys. I just wanted to share my sorry. I will probably buy more shiet from them.

To sum up, I've spent almost $2k on lights with this guys (battle born/moore racing). At this point I'm just waiting on my replacement light that according to them BD should be shipping directly to me. (Probaly repaired, not brand new) AND another set I purchased last Monday which are expected to ship next week which I can understand.

I do agree, his level of enthusiasm and initiative will serve him well. I made MANY mistakes at that age. Not trying to pick on him, I just think he probably got played because of it. Out of all the members involved in weird dealings he is the only one I've seen keep trying. So far. Let's see how big the hole is that his business partner dug.

There’s no hole fortunately. No scam either. No money in the past or present with battle Born has been scammed out of anyone.

I don't doubt that. I think most folks are just concerned with your partner.
