No. Chances are greater in teams in front of Bama lose.

No....if GA wins they are in regardless, Auburn is bamas only loss. Alabama has no good wins, so they’ve have to hope for a good loss.

Only teams that will help is Oklahoma and Wisconsin losing, and it is still an if.

    From ESPN stats

Neither team has much margin for error if it loses, however. We give Georgia a 1-in-905 chance of being picked for the playoff without an SEC title, and while Auburn’s chances are slightly better with a loss (9 percent), the Tigers would need a convoluted sequence of events that includes TCU upsetting Oklahoma just to have any glimmer of hope from the committee. And as far as outside rooting interests go, the outcome here has surprisingly little effect on the rest of the CFP picture. (Even Alabama, sitting at home twiddling its thumbs, doesn’t see its chances budge much either way.) At most, USC needs an Auburn win as part of a very specific scheme that can push its chances with the committee up to a coin flip (more on that later).

Yea that picture is messed up. o_O There’s no telling what kind of memes they’ll make.

Coach Moorhead fired me up, I could’ve played at least a series before age caught up with me :transformer: . I’m looking forward to his offense, recruits need to recommit- Joe will make good football players & great men out of them. :amen::rant::woot:

Idk why you tagged me in this, but I was saying Alabama has a better chance to get in if Auburn wins, if Auburn or Georgia lose they are out and the winner is in.

    ;)

Ten 10-win seasons in a row, five SEC titles, 4 natties, and three playoff appearances. Any bammer calling for Saban's head should get slapped in the face.

:anonymous: Does anyone have the inside scoop on the Vols problem(s)? Is it the administration, Fulmer, Manning making all the rules :notsure: and wanting to run everything? Somethings seriously toxic for this many coaches to walk away :spy:

It started with the delusional fan base thinking they had a shot at Jon gruden. Anyone not named Jon Gruden was a disappointment.

Tennessee hasn’t won the East since 2007. They haven’t been nationally relevant in well over 10 years. But, the fans still think it’s 1998. The coaches realize it’s not a fantastic job to have. Yea, you’re in the SEC East, but when you have coaches like Gundy who can win 8-10 games a year and be praised, they don’t want to go to a team whose fan base expects a national title every year even though they haven’t won their conference in 20 years.

Then you have the Schiano situation. What coach in their right mind would want to walk Into this situation? Recruits leaving left and right. The university hires a coach, then the fan base talks them out of that coach. Now you’ve got an AD who will probably end up fired when the coaching search is done. Most coaches aren’t going to want to work for a team after they let their fan base decide if they keep or get rid of a coach, AND an AD that probably won’t be there anyway. The new AD may have his own idea for who should be the coach. It’s a toxic situation all the way around, but I’m 100% positive Peyton and Fulmer don’t have anything to do with that.

I've heard a lot of talk about how the Haslem family are controlling this whole thing behind the scenes. They pushed to get John Currie as the AD and influenced the firing of Butch and the train wreck that was Greg Schiano.

    Meh. The opinions of sheep...

When Notre Dame, or Ohio State, or Louisville, whichever team you're fandom has fallen on now, has a decade of dominance, you'll understand that when the team is down, its best to just quietly sit out the playoffs. I don't think this Alabama team has the fire, passion or will to play dominant Alabama football. There are a few players who do. Minkah, Calvin, Bo, Damien, Josh Jacobs, Jeudy..

I think the D-line is mostly ok with mediocre. They've kinda depended on the LB group to pick up the slack and now that they are all injured, they cant seem to rev the motor back up.

As I watch the games, I pay a lot of attention to the offense after Jalen scrambles indecisively for a 7-12 yard loss, and their body language is defeated. (Ridley is typically pissed).

This Alabama team isnt in sync. Not only are they not in sync, but they dont believe in each other, or trust each other. Alabama teams have won championships when not in sync, but they had trust.

I'm also not sure if Jalen's "ice in his veins" is always a good thing. He is quite emotionless, actually and other players feed off of that. I understand the value of not getting rattled, but sometimes you gotta get other players hyped up to go out and make a play. That scenario doesn't play out often and the offense looks sluggish.

With all of that said, Daboll needs another offseason to get right with the offense, to develop Jalen and the new WR's. To create the sync. (And, to realize that he needs to just fucking RUN THE BALL WITH THE STABLE OF 5STAR RUNNING BACKS when shit isnt clicking).

Can anyone answer realisitically why Alabama OC's seem to so easily forget to RUN THE FUCKING BALL?
(I understand simple play calling where the defense stacks the box, so checking out to a slant on the edges works well, with passes to the blitzing side...)

I mean hell, put Jalen back there, Bo on one side, Damien on the other, run the RPO out of that configuration. If the defense stacks the box, check down to Ridley or Jeudy on the edge with a slant to the middle. Or, if the defense is bluffing, THEN Jalen can run the ball with two BIG ASS running backs blocking...lol.

Naw. Most Bama fans trust Saban through and through. Its the coordinators that we want the heads of...hahahaha.

This year, what can you ask of Pruitt, other than what he has done with all the injuries?

As far as Daboll goes, there has again been questionable play calling (not running the ball) but in a sense the offense has changed to a RPO, with Jalen as QB. That will take some time. The RPO offense also lets other teams match up better, as it negates our personnel features (size, strength vs. speed and agility) on the offensive line.

I just want an OC that will RUN THE DAMN BALL!

Throw in a few wrinkles, incorporate our receivers enough to keep the defense a little soft, but don't spend every drive trying to prove how damn cute you can be.

    RUN. THE. DAMN. BALL.

Is there anyone close to FSU that can verify anything? Reports- A&M offered 75million for 10 year contract. apparently guaranteed:popcorn:

If any of this is true, wow Jimbo must be :bananadance: :dancingbacon: :broccoli::rockband: :jellydance: :kona: :locked::laughing:

    yup.

That is Alabama Football's brand. When Bama runs the ball, people can't stop it. With the 6 RB's they have now, I don't really understand why that isn't the go to.

I mean we came out in the 2nd have and gary was like "this Alabama team cannot run on auburn" we throw 1 screen pass for a 1st down and then run 70 yards on like 4 carries, and then basically give up on the run the rest of the game. we were beating auburn on the out side no problem... I understand their front 4 basically shut out our up the middle game, but run to the out side or quick out side passes open up the middle or leave the out side open... you cant have both, and if you leave the outside open your ~180lb corners and safeties are making tackles on out ~230 RB and they are gonna get tired really quick... Alabama almost always wins wars of attrition, but they wouldn't start one for some reason

I was going back to the "if everyone above them loses, then it's all chaos" debate. I would think that a one loss Bama team (even though that loss was to Auburn) would put that over a 3 loss Auburn. Auburn could have won those other two games, so you can't use the "we played it on the field" debate there. Three losses will not get you in, but I could see two from the SEC going if OSU upsets Wisconsin and TCU beats Oklahoma and Miami beats Clemson. I doubt all three of those happen, so I still say it's probably:

    Clemson
    UGA/Auburn
    Oklahoma
    Wisconsin/OSU/USC/Bama?

Totally agree... came out of the half and ran down and scored. Then... no more run game. I can't figure that one out.
