and I don't believe being alone, in the country, where people can still find you, is the best option lol.

the only places I see truly succeeding are colonys, like Rob said his neighborhood. work together, survive.

In the city there is a greater risk of being robbed/killed in my opinion. Less chance of somebody selling you out and slitting your throat while you sleep in the county. I choose the boonies for my refuge during an breakdown of society.

We all need HAM radios though so we can keep in touch and keep the Tacomaworld discussions going.

I feel that people will quickly abandon the city for the same reason some of you already have, therefore making all areas dangerous. I plan to group up, build, survive. If I die, oh well, less days spent stressing about survival lol.

Y'all just sit and wait till someone shows up with more than you can handle, or you run out of supplies.

Realistically everyone will always be thinking of survival. Food/Water/Defense in any order. As long as animals keep breeding we will have food. You can live off rats in the city once the canned food runs out so there's that. All sorts of plants are edible out in the sticks. There are pros and cons of both of course. I think it basically comes down to making the correct choice for your immediate needs at the very moment your life and your loved ones life depends on it.

i mean as long as you had a way to boil water and the ability to catch fish (maybe have a raised bed garden on the deck so you didn't get scurvy or something because like vitamin deficiency) and you were on a sail boat or something that could move without fuel, it would work for a long time as long as someone didn't attack your vessel

Is there an Alabama thread that you don't have to filter through to get info and join in on local wheeling? One that is strictly devoted to posting upcoming trail rides and such?
