Having a father as a cop, step father as a cop, being raised around the LE world, the biggest thing to remember it's always at the officers discretion. If they want to be a dick and charge you with reckless for doing 59 in a 55 and say you were driving recklessly... they can. If you were cool to the cop and he isn't having a bad day and you're caught doing 84 in a 65 he can write you for just speeding. It's all variable, which has gone really well for me some days, and the other end of the spectrum on other days. That's the F%$KED up side of it.

Regardless of what you think about the whole police force, it just pays to be nice. Regardless of whether your right or wrong, they control the keys to the kingdom. You don't get anything out of being mouthy other than just a momentary since of relief which subsides as soon as you realize your trying to climb your way out of a grave with a shovel.
