    explain why every after market place defines theirs as 2WD & 4WD?

    Those are lift spindles which are 2wd only


    There is no opening for a cv axle in lift spindles. Also it raises the lca to provide lift


    I have had lift spindles on previous vehicles so trust me I know what I’m talking about.

    @anthony250f is correct. 2wd and 4wd oem spindles are the same. But for what it's worth I don't know much about Tacoma spindles.

    Lift spindles are different between 2wd and 4wd because 4wd can’t use lift spindles

    That link is to show him why lift spindles don’t work on 4wd


    Oem are not lift spindles

    jokes aside. for future reference, OEM 2nd/3rd gen spindles are the same and 2wd/4wd spindles are the same. :thumbsup:

    So a 2x4 spindle works on your 4x4? I need to replace mine on my 4x4 and only now realized that my replacement spindle is from a prerunner
