I'd make the winch plate and mounts out if 1/4. But the skin would have been fine in 3/16s haha no doubt was a heavy pig I bet! Haha

That's one thing I want to try differently on igor. Keep the armor light weight and simple.

Yeah if i was a 2nd gen, id have the same bumper you do or Gage. Both great hybrids. Billies just doesn't fit the 1st gen as nice i think. Seems to stick out further than it needs too.

Though that is a common thing among 1st gen bumpers..which I don't like so much.

No. There isn't. Thats whats annoying I think. You could push the winch back and inch or more and the bumper would look more like yours does. Nice and tight and no under bite thing going on.

Right now billy's is the only 1st gen hybrd you can buy on the market.

 

Exactly what I’m doing with the Tundy. If alum wasn’t so expensive (due to custom/one offs) I’d be driving a soda can around.

Yeah i was looking at Bud Builts Aluminum skids..but wow. 1000 bucks haha

Plus to me by the time you make the aluminum thick enough to make it as strong as the steel...its not THAT much lighter.

Just need to go easier on the plate steel i think.

Been seeing a focus rs daily in the canyon I've been working in all week. Must commute thru the canyon. It was white and he enjoyed driving it "spirited". Pretty nice looking car and sounds different in person than I was expecting. He passed someone yesterday at wot, pretty race car ish

 

I still think they are cool cars. I guess they have been having head problems. But still think they are cool.

I was going to test drive one the last time we were down in Colorado, but Tess said none of my hat bills were flat enough lol. I think they're pretty cool and would be a lot of fun, but she seems to think "bro's" drive them and not and almost 30 something with a kid.

 

The other day there was one with a kid driving it that thought he was going to jump around me from the slow lane and cut in front. I was in the Tesla.
