And that has NOTHING to do with how many championships they've won...lol.

What injury to another player affected you personally the most? Mine was the running back at USCe, Marcus Lattimore, that tore his ACL what seems like 6 times in his career there. I felt and still feel so bad for him. He was pretty phenomenal too! Probably would have been a beast in the NFL. Hard runner, fun to watch.

 

Yeah I will be there. I got a ticket for face value so there was no way I could turn down a face value ticket to the game.

 

Hmm...that's a tough one. LSU (thankfully) hasn't had any crazy terrible injuries that I can recall.

Lattimore is up there for me as well, and maybe to your surprise but Prothro as well.

Prothro because I have friends that went to UA and they said after his injury...he was just working as a teller at Regions. The future he had...taken away. Heartbreaking.

 

That one is heartbreaking, and it was totally unnecessary to have him even in the game at that point.

 

but he's still living a normal good life. Devon Walker being paralyzed was hard to watch. I have no idea why, but I was actually watching the Tulsa Tulane game that day when the hit happened.

 

Worst part about Prothro is that it wasn't the break that ended his career. He got some kind of infection in the hospital. I don't remember the details.

 

I did not know that, that does stink.

 

Yeah... I'm at a loss on that one, too. If Alabama lost, it was <two TDs. There are multiple Auburn losses in there that were blowouts or at least >two TDs.

I think the idea was that there are years in there that Auburn was waaaaay down and Alabama has pretty much been in the Top 5-10 each of the last 10 years straight. It was sarcastic, but I think in jest the point was that Alabama is a top team year in and year out whereas Auburn has had some down years.

I'm trying not to sound bad, but it appears that it's bigger news when Alabama loses than when Auburn loses.

 

This is true... Auburn had a tougher out of conference schedule.
