This is correct, the manual says not to do it. I'm turning my polling rate down to see if that helps my situation.

Just installed my ssp2. Took under 5 minutes. I had questions on best place to hide the large box as the install photo shows it in plain sight which sucks. So I simply tucked mine under the console where the below box is and it fits just fine and can still hear the beaps. To me I feel like this is the best spot.

Now to re-read all these posts to figure out the best tune. OP says #2 but seems most are running #1 and then #3 to tow.

No lift, and yes I get around 19mpg...on the weeks that traffic is terrible I get around 18mpg. My commute is 40mi one way and it's either moving at 70-75mph or its bumper to bumper for 20-25mi.

I have a hypertech speedo calibrator so my odo, speedo, and mpg gauge are all accurate.

So far w/ my polling turned down to Slow, no issues. I’ll keep you posted. I’m only watching temps, so no biggie to have it a bit slower. It is actually kinda nice as I do not get the bounce I used to see.

I got the SSP. I'm guessing V2, as that's all I see on the site. However, I have NO idea how to change between the 3 options. There's no switch on it? How do I try the different options?

Turn car on but not engine, shift over to “s”, then program it by shifting then shift back into park. Next time u start car it will go to the setting you set

Yep sorry... found the misplaced instructions I had for it, and sure enough they were there. I had installed it all following their youtube vids, so I missed that part! Just test drove it in Option 1. Seems a bit more smooth. Not bad.

So I have heavier "stockish" 265/70-17s on my truck with a 2 inch lift. Around town and on smaller highways I get around 18mpgs. What is surprising is that on the freeway I can only get mid to high 16mpgs. Luckily, most of my driving is not on the freeway, but will this device improve mpgs in both cases or does it improve one at the sacrifice of the other? Is that the point behind the 3 different modes?

Once you get above 70mph, the boxy front end really kills the mpg, so it makes perfect sense that you get better mpg on slower highways. In my personal experience, there was no change in mog from using ssp.

6” BDS and 35/12.5/18 Ridge Grapplers installed today. Drove 22 miles home on the stock shift mapping. I am calibrated with Hypertech for the tires. Shifted ok but didn’t hold 60-65 well in 6th.
Installed the SSP once home. Went for a brief drive and I think I’m going to be very happy with Map 1. 5th came in at light-med throttle around 58-60. Didn’t see 6th in a 55mph zone.

Great product, so far, for the price!!

Knock on wood, but so far w/ turning down my polling rate, I have had no issues of the SSP kicking into manual. So far, so good, so I'm comfortable w/ it. I did not need the faster polling rate, so that is working great for my needs.

Same with me. On the freeway it's high 15s or low 16s, just like my 2013 Baja with MT, so not much change for me from 2nd Gen to 3rd Gen.

On your ScanSenseII, you go to the advanced settings and you can turn it down there.
