I can't believe they found 400 sacks of **** that actually thought they would try to get money out of this case....... People can be so **** stupid!!!

I'm usually a calm non-prejudice person but COME-ON!!!!

 

I heard about the acceleration problem from the Tacoma. At first I thought it was about the slight power increase when the air conditioning compressor turns on/off.
But these consumers report a high amount of unintentional acceleration even when trying to stop! Their concerns are justified especially since it's repeating for them and their safety is at risk.
But since this problem doesn't exist on a massive scale and the government or Toyota is unable to reproduce the problem, Toyota is justified for not being concerned.
It is unfair to call these consumers names and prove more bias on the members of Tacomaworld.
If I were a victim of this situation, where I couldn't find resolution with Toyota, I'd get rid of the Taco and go after a vehicle that doesn't have a drive-by-wire throttle system. A system that the Taco doesn't need.

 

Maybe the NHTSA can look into the faulty wiring between the brains of these morons and their right foot.

No intended flame starting but the TV interview I saw on one particular case was with a guy who's Taco was a STICK!!!!!!!!

I don't know about all this, when this case came out it had less then 100 people and now 400?! Seems to me a prolonged test drive at any dealer I know would find this. Even if you complained like a MO-Fo, just about any service department will deal with you. I have friends whom are service reps for TWO different dealerships and I have seen and heard PLENTY of these kinds of stories......

Please understand, I'm all about not beating "the little man down" in this world but I don't think that's the case here.

No, it isn't. I'll call anyone an idiot who has "unintended acceleration" in a manual trans Tacoma. If this were so prevalent, why do we not see anyone with this problem on any of the Tacoma forums? I do have a bias; I hate idiots.

 

Were these shit heads using cruise control driving up a steep hill? Or were they just in neutral in a manual going down a steep hill?

 

I pretty much dismissed this when the stick shift guy said his truck did it.

 

As a Toyota service manager I find that very funny and a oner of a 2008 Tacoma. For one the complaint is that the consumer feels it doenst work as they think it should, well duh!! you the consumer is not the engineer!! 2nd, dont be a dumb ass, you should always have your foot on the brake when at a stop!! There is no acceleration problems we have ever verified. I have even contacted technical Toyota for many un educated customer and still no verification from Toyota of the vehicle accelerating on its own.. Just another person, or persons not happy and have buyers remorse wanting Money back!!!

Simple, because if anybody has the problem members call them names and belittle them to the point they just go away, it doesn't mean the problem went away it just means they went away.


Back when I owned a Ford the brakes faded so bad one day for a brief moment I thought for sure it was my last moment, when I talked to other Ford owners about it I was made fun of and told I probably stepped on the wrong pedal more then once.
BTW Ford recalled them for brake fade shortly after I sold the truck.


How many people that owned the Audi were laughed at for stepping on the wrong pedal until a couple people were killed and then it was taken seriously?

Sadly, this ain't your fathers America. Actually, my dad told me 25 years ago...that this was where we were headed. The old man was correct again. He lived through the depression and WWII...he is a wise man.
