I had that same problem then my dad challenged me with wanting me to build specialty type lifted 4x4 LEGO trucks. Had a ambulance lifted and a full fire truck, had a sports car on Big tires. Kinda mad max like.

 

It's Dec 1st and there are some new sets for sale on shop@home.

 

Believe there is a Bugatti one out now. Released today

Havent seen the Audi in person. Almost got the McClaren though.

 

Speaking of McLaren. Here is my latest purchase of retired sets.

 

Kind of kicking myself for not buying that plow truck when it was on clearance. Looks like a good set.

And since we're discussing the McLaren, had to dig mine out.

 

The buggy is great. It lives at my desk. There's also a small green moto and minifig and usually a CMF or two. The Highwayman has been on watch for a couple months.

The Creator aircraft are also a favorite.

Speed Champions are cool but I've not yet picked up any. They seem spendy and rarely come down in price on Amazon which is where patience pays off. Keeping a bunch of sets in your cart and seeing price changes helps keep the cost down. Camelcamel is another good resource as is brickset.

 

I like the speed champions theme. I originally bought them to place around my modular city I haven't built.

 

My bricklink order arrived today. It was for complete sets of Series 5 and Series 7 CMFs. The only problem was that Series 7 Daredevil was missing his white cape. Believe it or not it was cheaper to order a new Daredevil then purchase just the cape with the minimum order cost threshold. I'm currently looking for Series 1-3 to complete all the CMF series.

 

Not a fan either. Who is?

 

So a quick update. I just ordered Series 2 and 3 from bricklink. So now I'm just missing Series 1 and at $300 for the set, I'll be missing it for a while.

 

Is it that hard to put them together individually?

 

I looked into piecing them together but I found it difficult to find a vender that had them individually at a good price. Once I added it up with shipping from multiple stores it would cost me more then buying them as a complete set. I didn't break the bank on them so I'm pretty satisfied.

It appears target has corrected this. They are not offering 20% off on hard to find sets. I wanted this to be true since I still don't own a Death Star.
