    Spent a couple of hours adding a little luxury to my truck, with a leather wrap for the steering wheel.

    Just followed the instructions that came with it, and mostly went well. Unfortunately, I miscounted as I went around one of the spokes, and wound up with a wrinkle when I got back to the starting point, at the top of the wheel. If I were to do it again, I would make sure of the alignment by starting close to the seam (at bottom of wheel), and marking some spots around to serve as checks as you go along.

    But it should still be a good feel on those cold NY mornings.

    Well, the ol' dreaded P2238 code came up again (once in Moab in Oct then poof gone).

    I noticed that my MPG is dropping significantly as of two tanks last. (225 vs 150).
    Had O'Reilly's confirm P2238 = yep.
    Had O'Reilly's quote front O2 sensor @ $175
    Drove to Renton Toyota for quote on front O2 sensor and they stated that 03 3.4 Taco has a front air/fuel sensor and a rear O2 sensor.
    Quoted $279 by manager as I winced...
    He showed me the schematic and sure as $hit, labeled differently.
    Best he could do was $227 + tax.

    Not how I wanted to spend $$$ but then again it's being spit out the clipped exhaust pipe nearly faster than I can fill it up...

    Reserected from the dead.
    Have you checked for a cut wire on the sensor? That code indicates loss of voltage to sensor. Sensor might not be bad.

    FWIW, I cot mt last 02 sensor from rock auto. It was around $76 bucks and it was a denso brand. Same as OM.

    $146 Denso 234-9001 Upstream Air Fuel Ratio Oxygen Sensor with 10.6” 4-Wire Harness, for Auto Trans Equipped Vehicles
    Denso 234-9001 or 9003 depending on auto or manual tranny. They're both around $100 on Amazon. Don't buy from a dealership.

    This one. Yep, I screwed up the goop to activator ratio pretty bad. I think I didn’t kneed the activator tube enough and the 1/4 strip I got out of it was still separated since it looked more liquid than the videos I watched after the fact on YouTube.

    Found some 13WL calipers on a 07 sequoia. Tundra brake upgrade here I come! Or Sequoia upgrade in this case! They need to be cleaned up and im going to rebuild them for good measure. But $50 is a good price.

    That's an awesome price! Hard to do better than OEM quality. I believe there is a Toyota rebuild kit you can get that has all the seals, gaskets, washers, etc.
    You going with OEM rotors and pads as well? I am swapping my EBC pads out for OEM pretty soon.

    I don't truly have a horse in this race, but I just bought OEM pads, rotors, and all the other assorted hardware for my Cruiser and wow is the quality impressive compared to the crap that I have in the front of the Tacoma. Never seen pads that didn't look like they were stamped out with the world dullest iron worker. The Toyota ones are cut nicely and coated to prevent rust. Same with the rotors, they're PC on the center hub and inner fins.

    I’m going to go OEM. I’ve heard to many similar story’s about the quality of aftermarket. Going to maybe try and find used rotors that I can get turned. The rotors on the sequoia were aftermarket

    My Denso pump and filter sock came today.

    The sock is made in USA
    The pump is made in Japan. I was pretty much thinking this would have been China given the Amazon price.

    I did buy a new tank gasket and fuel pump sub harness from Toyota for $20.
