Squeek came back pretty quickly but I think it's because I didn't really spray it in the right spot. I used spray grease and have been squeak free for over 2 months. Secret is spraying the correct place. It doesn't take much either. I had sprayed so much fluid film that it has been draining out of the opening toward the front of the trans. Correct spot is key. The spot is the closest thing right behind the rubber boot.

You want to get it in the throw out bearing at the end of the clutch fork. Using the straw usually helps me to get it right in there!

That didn't solve it for me(that's where I sprayed it originally.... alot). What worked for me was spraying between end of the fork and the end of the slave cylinder.

Alright yeah that's a different issue than the 4 banger trans on the second gens - for me it's the throw out bearing. I wonder if you could put some thin durable material between the slave and the cup on the lever. That could last longer than a film. When these problems are as bad as it gets you know you're driving a pretty good truck :)

It certainly was driving me nuts. I did spray a good bit of fluid film on my TOB previously so maybe I was getting squeak from there too. Technically, I have fluid film on TOB and spray lithium grease on the end of the pivot stud(just behind the boot inside the bell housing. The grease on the pivot seems to have been the long term solution(8 weeks now).
