I have the Dmello or whatever it's called (same style as the photo @Dgibson529 posted) - I had to clean it up a lot because he didn't let it properly dry before wrapping it in newspaper and mailing it out. It was also sharp as hell and I had to mill the inside weld material a little because it wouldn't allow my CB cable to sit flat to ground properly. Otherwise it works....

    Happy Saturday all.

Thanks guys. I'm going to do something similar. The radio cost less than what they're asking for the mount! Soooo, I'll either find one for less or whittle one out myself.

I’d suggest making one yourself i bought one because i was in a rush and for 35$ ended up milling edges and sanding off splatter... 1/8” steel and a good bench vice and torch could of made one for 5$ probably would’ve been just as much work. For small pieces tho only place ive been happy with fit and finish is CBI

All GM trucks are like that to me. It's really frustrating. The steering wheel is also offset far enough to the right where I notice it when I'm driving, and I can't get over that.

Work told me they'd let me buy one at the end of the fiscal year, which is June 30 (I'm assuming they want to wait until then to make sure they don't have something come up that makes them regret spending that money). I think I'm going to just wait for that. Half of what I do on my home laptop is work related anyway, so I'll just get in the habit of bringing that one back and forth.

The last 4Runner and automatic Tacoma I had driven felt like that to me also. My girl's Rav4 has a Sport Mode that eliminates that delay. It also has an Eco Mode which makes the delay worse.

Magnetic base antenna mount? It's what I have - only need the antenna / CB when traveling or trailing, not day-to-day.

    Welp, I just did something.

Went this morning to the dealer to buy out my lease. They would need to have the truck for 3 weeks which is bs.

Finishing up paperwork on an 18 off road now and going to take delivery of it on Monday.

They changed their process a few months ago. The leasing company is technically different and they changed all sorts of shit apparently.

Oh well, I'm gonna a new truck at a pretty good price. And upgrading from SR5 to an off road.

I did the CBI hood hinge bracket. I've got the Fire Ring cable that I need to work on my ground, but I like how it works. I was able to get a great SWR reading with a Cobra 75 which isn't known for good distance and got someone 7 miles line of sight.

The only downfall is that because it's a ditch light bracket it points slightly down which means my antenna doesn't point straight up.

    I have zero complaints.

On a side note I was just at the dealer and they had a Pro. I don't believe them that they are 1" higher in the front. With the old Baja / Pro it was clearly visible but using my phone as a gap checker it was maybe slightly loose in the Pro and less loose on my truck. Granted my tires have probably 9-10/32 of tread so maybe the actual difference veteeen the two trucks is 1" but you definitely don't get a real lift with it.

I was kinda bummed out because I was starting to think about keeping my eyes open for a reasonably priced set of take offs for laughs. Definitely not worth the change.
