tonight i just checked the timing chain and guides looks beautiful as for the valves I’m planning on it in the morning I figured it’ll never be as easy to get to as it is now... want to school me on it? I’m reading up on it now but definitely wouldn’t mind some tips or tool suggestions

here is a video how to if you need to change your shims. What you really just need to do is use feeler gauges (shown in the video) to check your clearance. The specs for intake and exhaust should be in your owners manual and also says the specs in the video too. Jam the largest feeler gauge you can in there that doesn't start to bend with the cam lobes pointed up.

Haha it didnt take long. It hit hard when someone dang near stopped to turn off the main road then when i nearly got home i tried to duplicate it andnit got nearly to 0 psi and then started pulling vacuum again so i figured it was a line, but it drove fine and i decided i had to of popped a coupler haha

 

Had it happen plenty of times to me. Scares you at first. Then you analyze if your engine still works, unclench your butt cheeks, then look for a coupler....

 

I’ve popped a few loose out in the desert. All of a sudden truck goes gutless

How do you all run your bov? Did you weld it right to the aluminum pipe or did you get a special coupler

Mine is welded on. I didn’t use aluminum though. Mine is 16ga steel. I did this since I don’t have a tig welder and I wanted to minimize the amount of couplers I was using

Welded to it. The closer to the turbo, the more efficient.

My Borg Warner has an integrated BOV. I can use both or just the Borg Warner's.

 

Couple questions for you guys. With my engine cage I don't really have room for a turbo up top so I would have to do it underneath like sts does. I think a couple of you run the sts kit, is there plenty of room to run everything on the inside of the frame? Truck pretty much gets used offroad mainly so I'd perfer to use my big ass intake. Would rather go turbo than a ls swap since the truck only has 36k miles on it. Not interested in sts just same location to be clear. Thoughts?

 

Awesome suspension, eventually I will remove my 6” lift and go long travel.
