When/where's the Tamlando meet?

 

Now I need links, brackets, steering box, hydro assist parts, 14” coilovers , shock mounts/hoops, rear leafs , drive shafts, transfercase , misc metal for brackets I can’t buy, mounts for said transfercase, gears, lockers, brakes all around, front hub hearings, and a money tree. Lol

 

Oh is that all?

Sounds like the majority of the swap!

That's the thing i had to lay down under truck and kick a bunch of times so it would let my electronic case loose.

Well, I figured I'd get out there and address some outstanding maintenance on the OGT to see if some activity would help me shake the remnants of being sick I've been dealing with so I pulled the front tires, broke them down with the hilift and put a little over 8 oz of airsoft beads in them. I aired them back up and put them back on the truck and took it for a check ride. There was noticeably less vibration in the steering wheel at interstate speeds. There was still some vibration, but I figure it was either coming from the rear tires or the driveline. Just have to do the rear tires next and see how much difference that makes.

As of right now though, when I put John's Nittos on Natty, I'm not even going to bother having them balanced. I'm just going to have them put some airsoft beads in them and call it good. No more of those nasty lead weights dicking up the wheels and causing corrosion.

 

I may have to try that airsoft bead trick. I've got a shit ton of weights on my rims after getting the Falkens mounted. I used Dyna Beads when I swapped out the tires on my CB750. They worked pretty good balancing the dual sport tires I mounted. FYI, I will never ever never, never EVER change out motorcycle tires manually with spoons again.

Thanks. I miss it. Sold in early 2015 because I never rode it. The past week or so I've been itching to give a similar treatment to my Harley...

 

I'm hoping its fairly idiot proof. I'm a complete noob with welding. Been watching youtube welding videos and it seem fairly simple. Going to be lots of practicing on scrap before i touch the truck with it.
