Well, so much for Made in America.

The clip in the middle of the door panel was crushed during installation at the factory.

I put the bad one at the bottom and put a good one in the middle. No more squeak / rattle.

I replaced the speakers in my truck today. The passenger side rear door panel had two clips that were crushed during factory install. Luckily I was able to reshape them and get them to bite a bit during reinstall. It's kind of unbelievable how things are held together these days.

I've seen clips like those used all of my driving / wrenching life. This was the first time to find them mis-installed from the factory, which includes 80s era GM products. Worse was it is was a source of noise.

No big deal, other than some blown expectations.

I'm just thrilled to have that squeak / rattle gone.

I took mine into Toyota still under warranty.
The service guy said it was my wind deflectors on the window. Bullshit.
Then he said it could be my new K02s. He Refused to take the panel off and look.

Took mine in today to get the squeak looked at before I get out of warranty traveling this week. They said they needed the truck for a full day to install felt/sound deadening. I tried to tell them it was probably a broken clip but they didnt want to hear it.

9100 miles no rattles even on shit pothole CT roads. I did have a bang on big bumps turned out to be the crank handle on a tie down in the driver side bed cubby! I cannot complain on anything about mine so far !even the heated mirrors work !!

I have the same problem with mine. It drives me nuts. Not sure if it's the weather stripping since it's new or the panel/seat belt is loose.

Well the dealer has been at it for the whole day putting felt tape everywhere on the door panels and cant get it to stop squeking. They're going to keep it another night and try some more tomorrow. I asked the SA if he thought it was a bad design since they couldnt get it to not make noise. He wouldnt answer me but just laughed. I asked him to take a pic of the work before they put it back together. He said he would try.

My 2018 has developed a rattle/buzz in the drivers side access door. I haven't been able to isolate it, but it seems to be right at ear level. It drives me nuts, but I haven't had a chance to try to find the source. Initially, I thought it might be in the seat belt height adjuster, but I'm not sure.

For mine with the doors closed, I could reach back and push on the top corner of the trim panel and it would rattle and squeak. It was two deformed clips that didn't get clicked into their holes at the factory.

The excellent vid on the first page shows that it is pretty easy to pull and check the panel.

I had a rattle coming from the access cab door on the passenger side, that you could hear when driving over bumps, and when closing the door. Toyota looked at the wrong door (even though I showed them the passenger side one, the invoice said drivers side). Turns out, the top seat belt retract bolt was loose!!

here you can see it, and hear the rattle when you close the door.

I'm not sure that there is. Let's keep watching to see if we can find it.

I have an 2016 AC cab truck. My wierdness is coming from the passenger front door. When it is cold out, it sounds like a socket or ball bearing is loose in the bottom of the door. When it is warm out, it must be sticky enough inside to stop it from rolling back and forth, and it makes no sound. I am going to put dynamat in all the doors this spring. So I have not taken the panel off yet to see what it is yet. Only mildly annoying. The rattle from the right-hand side dash tweeter is highly annoying though. I just don't have time for all of this. Probably hit them all when I do the dynamat. Also of note I have placed dynamat of the back wall of the cab and the metal supports for the cubbies under the back seats, and man what a difference afterwards! Lowered the in cab noise by 10 decibels!

my passenger door on my 06 squeaked for 12 years until I sold it. It was internal I thought.
