If you can make it, I can show you around some blue trails. I'm unlocked at both ends too still and manage totally fine on any blue trail. It seems they have an approaching full blue/black group. Maybe we can start a solid blue group?

this is why I'm going!! I want to go out with the experienced guys. That's the only way to get better. A person is the average of the 5 people around them, thankfully @stairgod won't be there to bring the average down :anonymous:

Neither are needed. Diff is nice but takes away ground clearance. The only weak part of the diff is the back portion.

I have succeeded!! lol. But in all seriousness, I would want to wheel with you any day. My first time ever going wheeling, you were leading. Any question or problem I had, you were there to help with.

    The simple truth is that:
    1. It's my DD, and I really don't want to rent a car while I fix my truck.
    2. I'm not as young as I look, and the meds I take make joint pain and muscle cramps a daily struggle, and the first fifteen minutes of anything, let alone stacking rocks, is plain torture. Once I get moving, or pissed off, I'm a machine, but the diesel takes a few minutes to heat up.
    3. I prefer to help others and have a good time, and being the clog is not my thing.
    4. Up until I joined TW, I wheeled mostly by myself, or maybe one or two other people, so getting stuck really sucked. I'm still learning how to wheel in these big groups.
    5. I wheeled my Taco stock for the first two years, and that will teach you how to pick good lines, see note 1 above.

    Thanks for your support.:headbang:

there's nothing stopping you from going. @ADV4R and @TacomaJoe23 want to go. @bski22 is on the fence about blues and blacks, so having another group as an option might be good. @Roody might make an appearance. @steele-taco even? thats looking like a pretty full group already.

I remember reading the same thing from the "2nd gens on 35s and 3" lift" thread. Something to do with manuals having a lower overall gearing, and only needing 4.56 and the auto needing 4.88.
