He has an iPad he plays. They are wanting a tv console so he and his sister can play too.

Not always an option. He plays outside as much as possible but when he is inside he just needs more options. A console will also allow for playing with his sister or dad instead of an iPad or whatever.

    I understand that.

Unfortunately, video addiction is a huge problem and I hate to see it start in kids so young.

His parents don't let it become addiction. If someone plays with him it's legos, cars, action figures, anything.

An addiction to anything is bad and video games get a bad rap from folks who don't play video games.

You can be well rounded just not let anything control you, but anything you find fun or enjoyable will always be at least a temporary addiction.

    I get that.

But, watch teenagers and college kids (and a lot of adults, too) - any second they have to spare is spent staring at their phone. The ultimate video addiction, IMHO.

Oh I agree, that's why he doesn't have a phone lol.

    Consoles are different though.

I didn't think about it like that - you have a very valid point.

They also are wanting it to be something he and his sister as she grows can play together. Most toys are gender specific but video games arent.

I had many a day of laughter with my sister's playing things like Mario cart. It's just like an advanced version of board games. They literally bring you all together.

I just don't know anything about kid appropriate games. At 5 my motor functions weren't capable of the controllers very much, heck I struggle playing now hahaha. But kids are learning faster than we did.

I think Nintendo probably has the most kid friendly games.

That's my assumption. Are there options other than the wii?

I believe his dad suggested just an Xbox or ps4 with the Lego games or similar.

The Lego games are fun and they are kid friendly. I'm actually not really familiar with the Nintendo systems, but they for sure have the best part games.

Can someone please explain to me how Bama got in the playoff with no marquee wins and no conference championship?
At this point, why even have conference championships?

Because the media and "experts" love them. Aside from bammer mentality, which is that all announcers hate them yada yada, they are given credit for their name.

They are cruising on a reputation that the season didn’t support.
