What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The LED in these switches are evididently not dimable

 

Starting to change the rear bumper to fab four

 

Debadged the tailgate and washed and waxed. Leaving the Tacoma badges on the doors because it looks cool with the puddle lights I installed under the mirrors. Eventually I want to remove that plastidip and paint them to match my graphite wheels.

 

Where'd you read that?

 

need to get/make one of these. Backup cam is almost useless with sun on the display. Probably be okay only half as deep. Fits in CD slot?

Ah. I'm pretty sure they can be if you wire them in right. Our switches are weird though, and dim off of the ground circuit so I'm unsure how exactly they'd be wired up.

What I'm saying is I'm unsure what I'm saying

 

I have several switches just like the one in the picture, all dim with the other interior lights as long as they're all tapped into the same wire.

 

Threw a missfire code on me after the movies last night says it's the number four cylinder. Soooo I got new plugs and installing them now. Anyone know off hand the cylinder numbers for the 2.7l?

To get them to dim wouldn't you have to pull power for them off the dash light dimmer switch? I would think they'd dim then rt along with the dash lights

When I wired mine in it dims but it's backwards. I dim the lights the switch gets brighter and vis versa.

 

If the dash lights are like the down light, they dim off the ground, not positive.

Im pretty sure the switches gets a constant hot, and is switched/dimmed via the ground circuit which is weird.

 

I used th ch4x4 switches I know for illumination they use a keyed hot so I just used an add a fuse and tapped into the dash light circuit so they come on when the lights are turned on. When you push the switch the second light in the switch comes on. I'm not sure about these other switches but would imagine they're similar

 

How do you do that? I want mine lit up
