I won't name names but his initials are @chenbro.

Got them from him used and put some new ball joints in them so I don't guess they'd warranty them.

The inner bushing doesn't really touch anything. The tube that the bolt goes through sticks out about an inch and it's about the same diameter as the inner sleeve so the bushing just goes arouns it like it does the sleeve.

Yeah, I just went and looked, but wasn't sure if there was a difference between the different gens. FWIW I also have the newer bushings on the 1st gen, and there is no gap at the washers yet.

I'm thinking I'll disassemble again, measure the gap, remove the uca, and carefully, with a bottle jack, try and open it up the width of the gap.

I've been pondering the same thing....

Assuming that they were fine when I initially installed them then I must have bent them somehow.

I remember a trail run where I heard a horrible clunking and found the bolt on the drivers side loose. I tightened it up and went on my merry way. I wonder if before I tightened it, it had gotten slammed back and forth enough to push the ends closer together?

@Wishbone Runner .... what trail was that? Was that the monkey wrench gang trip?

Another person tried that, also added 4 washer, and it only lasted for a little while.

Your inner bushing isnt the new spec ride, as it should be tapered. Check mine out in the below photos. Maybe that the problem?

You're right. Mine don't taper like that.
The reason I assumed they were spec ride is because they're clearly one piece and the inner surface that's against the metal sleeve has a checkered pattern in it and that's how I had heard the spec ride bushings described.

If you want to measure the width of the inner and outer bushing flange, I can compare to mine tomorrow.

If someone could measure the innermost dimension (excluding the bushings) that would be helpful. Outermost I guess too.

They'd probably have to be off the truck to get a good measurement though.

Unless SPC is using the wrong picture and sending it to their resellers the latest bushing isn't tapered. I have been in contact with SPC for a different issue that my bushings have, the center hole is 'wolered' out. SPC told me that p/n 25476 is what I need.

More interestingly I want to get ahold of a set of these x-axis joints

The washer on my Camburgs has an ID close to the bolt, so it's sandwiched between the bushing sleeve and the chassis. Without it what prevents the bushing from walking in and out of the UCA? Also the sleeve is the right length so that when you tighten the bolt the shoulders are retained and compressed correctly. Total Chaos and Icon work the same way AFAIK, 4 washers per side.

As far as I know, the fact that the bushing is flanged on both sides and has to be bent and pressed in crooked is what keeps it from walking in and out of the UCA.
