Do dry filters last as long as oiled filters?

I've been running it for over 10k, with zero issues.

Bro welcome to the club and congrats! I have a ‘15 Pro s/c’d in Black too. You’re going to LOVE it. Check out my build (link in sig) and feel free to ask any q’s, I’ve been down a lot of rabbit holes you’ll probably start staring down.

Your stock air box is fine, and your fuel pump is fine too. The smaller pulley will void your warranty which is why I’m holding off. I’m warrantied till late 2021 and am in the low 20k mile range. Crazy how similar our trucks are.

And be sure to say hi in the Pro thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trd-pro-tx-baja-official-thread.360056/

    Congrats again!

I saw your thread about adding a leaf - the guys in the Pro thread know tons about the right way to set your truck up for however you’re going to use it.

I wouldn't bother with a CAI even if there is some "proven" gains on a supercharged motor...spend that money on fuel mods and a smaller pulley, you'll get way more out of the supercharger that way.

That may void the warranty, which is why I’m holding off.

    YMMV

True, though URD sells smaller pulleys that look just like the stock ones (same color/markings)...no one would be able to tell the difference in size unless they actually measured it. Still, an understandable risk though.

I thought about that, however there is a “anti-tamper” seal on the pulley. Trying to match it would be a pain. I can wait for the additional power.

Here’s the deal: you can make your Taco relatively faster if you want to start dumping loads of money into it, and that floats a lot of guys’ boats. But it’ll still be slower than sports cars and have the aerodynamics of a roof top tent on a bar of soap.
So far I’ve been restraining myself on the go-fast stuff ... but surfing TW is NOT helping my cause.

    You have cooled seats?

    WTF... :jellydance:

My wife's Durango has cooled seats and there's nothing better in Alabama summer humidity, than cool air blown up your ass. JS

Seriously my favorite part about the truck most days. Especially ever since I piped actual A/C’d air straight into the fan intake.

This anti-tamper seal is applied by the dealer, and they all appear to use different colors. So there is no universal seal color to match. Just get some that passed a UV light test. I reapplied my anti-tamper seal after tampering with it in a color closely matched to what the dealer used.

    Mine was applied by Magnuson.

Basically it's torque seal and I've used it for years in the Army, just a different color. Initially I looked online for a similar color, but decided I could wait on a pulley change and other mods. I'm blowing through the 36k faster than I expected, so it won't be long... :burnrubber:

Not sure what I was thinking when I said by the dealer. It was likely Magnuson. Point being in the supercharger thread a while back when many of us went to the 2.85 pulley, we compared seal colors, and it seemed to vary.

I think it’s based on what torque seal color they have on the factory floor, when the final assembly/inspection is completed.
