    Paper thin bumper mounting points.

Bumper mounts will hold a bumper up but that's about it.

Any aftermarket winch bumper will tie into the frame somehow. Otherwise, a winch would be useless as it would just pull the bumper off.

Depending on the aftermarket bumper you will also have to enlarge the mounting holes on it.

The stock bolts are 1/4" I believe. You want a 9/16 dia. hole to allow a 1/2" bolt through without binding up the threads. You're removing 5/16" of material.

The factory mounts are available as spare parts and have to be welded in. Are your plates welded over the factory ones? Got any pics?

My plates are welded over the factory mount plates. I'll be ripping my front end apart again this weekend so I can snap some pictures installed then.

Thanks, that would be a much needed improvement. I tried a few easy winch pulls with the winch mount attached to the factory ones and they started deforming so they are no good.

Damn, you da man. And if that's the case, I'd probably get a set for the Taco and the T4R
