That was quite the game. It showed a foreshadowing of the future, Burke's core was never going to make it deep into the playoffs. Phaneuf couldn't move Chara from the front of the net so the Bruins just stuck him there and ran circles around the Leafs for 5 minutes. Still, shit happens. It lead to the moves that gave the Leafs the solid management and core they have now. Your team shit the bed in the finals and doesn't have much to show for it, hopefully they can accumulate some picks off of their over achieving aging signings they made this summer and get somewhere once the twins are as old and cranky as you.

The Thornton, Oshie, Wilson drama last night was interesting.

 

Not sure if anyone on here buys jerseys or not. Figured I'd bring it up for anyone interested. So the Adidas jerseys give you 2 options. The 'authentic' which is the Adizero jersey with all the materials of the on-ice jersey, fight strap etc. They are going in the stores here for $225. And the 'replica' are contracted out to Fanatics. It is simplified down, doesn't have the different materials, strap, not the same collar as the on-ice etc. No Adidas logo and has a Fanatics logo. They go for $180 (ugh). I got one for my gf for Cyber Monday on NHL Shop for $120. Nice jersey, for what it is. The lack of logos (and addition of Fanatics logo) is kind of lame. She won't care, but I would. At full price, I'd honest just pay the $225 for the normal Adidas one. If I could get the Fanatics replica for cheap (no more than $120) then I'd consider it. But as it is, I likely would not buy the new replica jersey. And realistically I have better things to buy than a $225 authentic. So I'm not sure how well this structure is going to work out for Adidas, in jersey sales. I am far less likely to buy one and I usually buy one every year. But anyways, just wanted to add that in case any of you guys were looking into getting a new one, shopping for the holidays etc.

 

Yeah I took a look earlier this year and noticed the price points of the new jerseys were a bit screwed up. I think this is similar to how Adidas prices soccer jerseys, I don't think they made any special changes for the NHL because they probably really don't care apart from the brand recognition having their brand on TV brings.
