Damn cv axle took forget to jam in

Dammit, I can't say a lot about the old square bodies. They were before Dodge starting having issues. I used to drive one like that for landscaping, it was a solid truck, built like a brick shit house.

 

It's loud, that's about my only complaint with it. Zero cab insulation. But yeah, she's a tank.

 

So my truck hasn't been started in a couple days so I decided to check coolant. It was below the low mark. I guess this would explain why it took so long to heat up in the morning. I had taken it to Toyota before whom had done a pressure check and apparently nothing was wrong. Any ideas guys?

 

How long has it been since you checked the level? It does evaporate, but very slowly.

 

You’re likely burning coolant or some evaporated. My truck never drinks coolant or oil but my subi does both. One your hood and look for signs of pink near the head gasket

 

Probably 6 months, roughly 5k miles I think. If not then no more then 10K miles.

Just remember thats the over flow tank, so when the truck is at operating temp with the thermostat open, the over flow will start to get some coolant back in it (saying there is enough left in the system to do so) and when the truck cools down, the coolant gets sucked out of the over flow (to a degree) and back into the radiator.

Heating causes expansion hence the over flow tank

Hmm opposite of what I thought. Thought I was supposed to check it when it was cold, which it was very cold lol
