Doubtful on these trucks, especially as new as Jason's. First places to check would be the water pump and hoses

 

Doesn't evaporate that fast, typically. How long did they leave the pressure tester hooked up? Sometimes it has to be done overnight to see if there's a leak because it's very small

There should be some left in it when cold, just don't top it off when its cold cause it may over flow when the motor gets to temp

 

Too be honest, I don't remember. I'll have to search through my service records. Truck hasn't passed 40K yet

 

I put some in, but it was between low and Max.

 

Yeah a seeping water pump would show in a pressure test alot of times HGs do not. I also remember him mentioning towing alot in the summer that can make the motor run hotter wbich would make this look dramatic

 

Yup definitely did some towing! About 5k lbs for about 300 miles total. Truck did get hot for about half of that due to traffic.

 

I'd just keep an eye on it. My Ford does that from time to time also. If we get a really cold winter or if I've been towing a lot, I'll notice it down a bit. Under normal operation though, I won't lose any. I brought it back to Ford and they left it on a pressure test all night and it didn't drop a bit so they couldn't determine where it was going. I don't lose much over the course of a year, I top it off once every 18 months or so. I bought a gallon of un-diluted coolant from Ford shortly after buying the truck and am not even half way through it so it's not a lot.

 

Yup I got a jug from Toyota and typically leave it in the truck just in case. Just put my ice scraper back in this morning. Gotta grab a snow shovel to put in too. Anybody from new Hampshire here? I'll be going either this week or next for work. Wondering if there's snow yet. I'll be heading up to I intervals, NH.

 

i think it's snowing down here this weekend so i'm sure it'll be snow up there

 

Jason, @jpereira2 it could also be the rad cap, don't usually see them fail this early but it a possibility

Tell wife motors broke and need to take it to a machine shop to be rebuilt while there go forged H rods, pistons, mls head gasket arp head studs and new valve train then buy a SC and you no longer need a tundra that truck will soo hard.

 

Still would want the tundra lol. More bigger! Honestly peeked at used landcruisers saturday, but way too rich for my blood lol.

My co-worker is back today. Thank God.

He just strolled in, casually, about 20 minutes "late". He's been working here for who knows how long. He's a "golden child" sort of speak and can do no wrong. People love him. A lot of times, people go to him to ask about stuff that I "handle". Goes to show how much they love him, and I guess what they think of me, indirectly. Oh well, I could care less. Not here to make friends. Here to do a job, try to do it the best I can. If you don't like it then go complain to my boss.

So... for anything of his that I was asked about last week, and I didn't hear back on, I'll do the right thing... I'll follow up and copy him, so when I receive an answer he's copied and can take over from there, rather than just "pawning it off on him".

Fun weekend, so being at work today is especially painful. I'm finding it hard to concentrate. I'd rather be on here talking about trucks...

 

Meh... wouldn't really consider myself a team player to be honest. Just trying to do a job and help as best I can. Truth be told, he could probably do my job better than I can, that's how long he's been here and how much he knows about what him and I do. And on the other hand, I couldn't do his job to save my life. There's a lot of things I don't know like he does... sourcing questions, little thing you pick up and learn along the way, etc.
