Hell yea, what bike you got? I have been a mountain biker since I was ten, which def made me into who I am today. I am back in VA, but am waiting to possibly get orders out to Austin, TX! I got some patches that need signing at a minimum if I come out that way...also plan to bring out the bike if I do.

Hell yea I would def look forward to that! I got a transition smuggler 29er that I would bring with me so we should be set up. Do you ever hit any features like jumps or drops at all there?

My skill level hasn't reached that point quite yet!

But I'm getting more comfortable in the rock gardens and downhill bombing

Sounds like a good start to me, how long have you been riding? I come from a gravity background so I enjoy hitting features when I can.

Before I bought my last bike about 2 years ago...I had not rode a bike since I was 10!

So, just really trying to get my breath back and confidence out there.

This is another FEMA job so its a crap shoot on timing. If it happens, I would be notified two weeks before hand. I am assuming I will likely be having to head out that way around Christmas time if it happens.

OP I just purchased those same wheels and are considering having them power coated black. A couple of questions if you don't mind. Are the beadlock ring bolts plastic and did you need to get your wheels re-balanced after removing them and reinstalling them? I was told I might need to get my tires rebalanced after removing and then reinstalling the beadlock rings.

They are not plastic and no rebalancing needed. Just took my zip gun with a t30 torx bit and took them off, got them powdercoated and zipped them back on. Easy. There is a small notch for the valve stem so it only goes on one way. Took about 5 min to take them off and about 10 to put them back on because you have to hand start all the bolts.

Thanks for the info Nick. For the record I meant to say that like you I am only having the beadlock ring powder coated. The wheels are already black.
