It might be. I've checked with my insurance in the past and discovered they will cover off-roading damage as long as it wasn't an event or formal competition like a charity or a race.

But...let's hope it doesn't come to that. Sure do hope to see you post a positive report.

Warranty is still good (24,000km's but I purchased extended) I just meant I'm not sure warranty will still be in effect following this situation I put myself/the truck in.

Ok I'll call my provider and speak with one of their adjusters. Doesn't hurt to inquire right?

Most insurance covers anything that’s not a timed event like a race. Doesn’t matter where it is.

Negative, haven't gotten the plenum spacer off in order to get to the driver's side plugs. Busy with work and ran out of daylight yesterday.

Working outside on the street on a lifted truck with ice all around me, it's below freezing and I don't have a lot of mechanical knowledge.

I just want to make sure these steps are done right, doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to get a breaker bar on the crank to turn it over manually so I'm kinda worried about that as well.

Do I bump the starter or try fully cranking it over? Also, will the starter engage with the coil/plugs removed?

    Thanks

I just read through the thread and i initially thought it was hydrolock. You probably do not want to crank it until you make sure nothing is in the cylinder or combustion chambers. Or until you can manual turn the crank.
Pull the plug out, check and see if spark plug is wet or if you see liquid inside first. Very easy first step...
Check for mechanical blockage that could be preventing motor from turning like one of the reply.
    Troubleshoot the starting circuit.

    I hope she'll recover!

After recovering the truck, getting it to flat ground for 20 minutes and checking the oil level (which showed between add and full) my friends convinced me that it would be fine to try starting the truck... I expressed concern regarding further damage but they were sure whatever damage that was there was done already. Like a potential fool, I tried starting it up. Starter clicked, we heard a thud. They deduced that the battery was no good due to it being on its side for over almost 2 hours so they boosted it and we tried again. Just clicked. Flatdecked it home and started pulling plugs after 24 hours of sitting, hadn't tried turning it over again. Oil level is showing full now.

I'll get started on driver's plugs after work with the 1 hour daylight I have in -15 C temps

Yes if it was my truck. I would pull the plugs and turn the motor over with the starter. It’s going to take 20 -30 secs of turning it over to get all the oil out. You can stop when you see no oil shooting out.

If the rods or bent the damage is already done. And the motor will have to be rebuilt or swapped

Bump the starter by bridging the contacts with a screwdriver, that way you are right there, can see what is going on, won’t have to worry about any other nannies between the ignition switch and starter.
Of course this is after pulling your plugs.

Haha the temp reminds of me being in ND. I used to work on bikes in the garage at those temperature. I hated when i had to sand the whole plastics.

Anyways, i would not try to start it until i am sure its safe to turn. Hydrolocks can easily break your conrods.
If you cant see with flashlight you could use a tube or slinge and try to suck it up. if there is nothing, now you have less things to worry about and move on to next possibility.
Very good mechanics can narrow down the cause quickly but people like me i would eliminate possible cause one by one...

May want to pull the fuse for your fuel pump before turning the motor to shoot out any potential oil
