Went to my local dealer and picked up the Tacoma bed mat. Love it already.

You got a rubber mat to protect the composite liner which is there to protect the steel bed? :p:boink:.

Better get a piece of plywood over that rubber mat to protect it, might need a coat of paint on the plywood to keep it from rotting, perhaps get pressure treated?

In all seriousness, what'd they whack you for it??

Love my bed mat too... Keeps crap from sliding all over the back of the bed. And gives some cushion when I’m digging around back there.

You can score one for under $100...

I still stand by the bedmat-is-the-best-mod-ever statement.

In addition to the usual items placed in a bed that benefit from the mat, I recently had a nice collection of goodies back there.
When you need to haul three crock-pots, two large ceramic dishes, and one Pyrex for Thanksgiving (or whatever purpose) and you've got three humans in the cab, the bedmat will keep those all from moving at all in the bed.

I bought a rubber stall mat from tractor supply a while ago and cut it to fit. When throwing firewood into the bed it tears up the rubber mat instead of the composite. My tailgate composite is all cut to shit from loading a rototiller into the bed by myself and the tines getting hung up.

Intended to, but after looking at mine, it’s perfect. So I’ll probably just keep it in my truck just in case. The pcv was still in good shape too (rattled) but I went ahead and swapped it. All preventative maintence really.

Yeah once that composite wears through or gets chipped enough, there's nothing but pavement on the other side, or well, the fender or spare depending:rofl:

Got mine from gunny at camelback Toyota, things a little heavy but the previous owner left his mark(s) in several deeply worn areas of the bed, so it's nice to have a little protection.

Has anyone put speakers from a 4Runner in a tacoma? I have access to a 2016 4 runner to take the speakers out of, but need to know before I start I'd like to know if they'll fit

Got my inner fenders trimmed up so the new tires don't rub. Took me maybe 15 minutes to get everything trimmed.
    20171204_124409.jpg

    Re-installed my copilot mod.
    20171204_124440.jpg

Put in my bed mat that I took out of my S10 before I sold it. Doesn't fit perfectly, but it's good enough.
