I've had vibration issues with unbalanced tires and wheel alignment but no vibration issues with the actual lift kit. I've been driving with it for about two weeks and haven't had an issues pop up yet. I will keep you all posted with anything I find though.

 

Thanks, I was surprise that a drop kit wasn't included for the Center Bearing Assy, since the driveline angle would be changing with the lift.

 

Yea, I'm guessing that U joints of the drive shaft can still handle the slight increase in angle. The driveshaft is pretty long in comparison to the CV axles of the fronts so I'm glad that a front diff drop was included.

Hey, probably an over-asked question and I apologize in advance, but how do I keep power to the outlet in the bed on while in drive? I have some lights/Christmas lights I am attempting to showcase and am having trouble figuring it all out. Thanks in advance.

 

Should just stay on while you start driving. It will drop from 400 watts at idle to 100 watts while driving, but that should be enough to power christmas lights.

I don't know if this deserves its own thread, but I've confirmed that instead of paying toyota an insane $60 for PN 90080-87024 (the relay that controls the inverter), you can get PN 9672K36 from McMasterCarr for $10.74, break off the extra tab, and slap it right on in. Of course you can get alternatives on ebay, but I much prefer the speedy shipping and customer support you get from McMaster.

Here's another progress video on the larger tires. I had some rubbing issues against the body and the fender. I was able to address the fender rubbing, but there was just a slight bit of rubbing against the body (which I address in my next vid).

Automatic Tacoma’s only have a single cup holder behind the shifter. Amazoned a drop in cup holder and a hole saw, bam, 2nd cup holder. Don’t mind the golf ball shift knob.

 

That's innovation.

 

Figured I'd post this here as some people have PMed me about it.

This is a quick guide to install OEM keyless entry on 05-15 Tacomas that have power locks.

First I would check to see if youre already physically setup and have the door control receiver, you can do this by opening the glove box and lowering it all the way (may have a shock-type device on the right of the glove box that needs to be detached) then remove the 10mm bolt that holds the plastic trim piece above the glove box on. Remove the trim piece and unplug the harness that may be attached to the back of it.

Check this photo and find the harness that plugs into the white box, you may or not have the white door control box. (I didn't have it, so I ordered it. Photo shows where I mounted mine. The original location is in this general vicinity.) If you don't see the box, just double check you have the plug that's meant for it. It'll be hanging there.

If you dont see the white box but do have the harness, you need the following part:

89741-04010 a.k.a Tacoma door control receiver

(If you do have the door control receiver box and still cannot enter programming mode, the module may be faulty. I have read that they can go bad.)

I bought mine on eBay for 50$ but I've seen them go from $40 - $100.

Just plug that in like the photo shows, and you can now enter programming mode for the keyfobs. Search Tacoma keyfob programming on YouTube. It's pretty easy.

Also I found that the knockoff keyfobs from Amazon are junk. Battery kept self draining on mine. There are used OEM Toyota keyfobs on eBay for almost the same price. Definitely the way to go.

hey guys I need help troubleshooting crank no start situation. I have an 06 Tacoma I’ve checked the relays and fuses. I believe the fuel pump works because I smell fuel when trying to start but during the pcm power test for the fuel pump relay I only have the one hot that comes from the RPM STATUS. I AM NOT READING CONSTANT HOT A FROM KEY ON STATUS.

 

I must be terrible at the internet, because you have no idea how long I have been trying to find instructions like this.

I just found a control receiver on eBay for $85 and plan on plugging it into the wiring harness that is already in the area you pointed out in the picture.
