It’s not too difficult, I learned a while back. Basically you strip back a little of the wire you are going to solder into, wrap the new accessory wire around it, use the gun to heat the wire and keep touching it with the solder wire until it melts onto the bare wire forming a good cover, then wrap up with electrical tape.

The other option is to scotch lock (which I hate) or just cut the wire and tap into it using heatshrink butt connectors

Thanks, I'll go with first option lol. Just discovered my battery charged solider gun may be dead. Also I'm going to have to do the same for setting up the 7 pin harness on the hitch. I just hate messing with anything electrical.

Just realized I'm going to have to run lines the length of vehicle to hook up 7 pin correctly now for the brake booster ECT ECT lucky me lol.

Had to cut them off. Nuts were seized and the 1/2” impact couldn’t even strip them off

Well I just hauled 900lbs of tile from Lowe’s to the house, the Dakar’s held up ok, almost laid on the overload leaf. 49AE9EB6-EF08-41B6-BBEA-9AC9D075F4E4.jpg

You have the original cs047r packs if I’m not mistaken. I have the new version EL096R heavy duty packs, 7 leafs plus the overload if I’m not mistaken. It still rode smooth as hell weighed down but I would have liked to seen less flex on em. But then again it was close to 1k lbs
