And IMO all dogs should be under voice command as part of being properly trained. Then again, children should be as well and clearly society is going the opposite direction.

Back in '94 I almost got a DUI in Boulder for walking my bike home. On the bike path. Which, at the point, was nowhere near a road. Just the creek.

I was three sheets to the wind and was still able to talk my way out of it somehow.

The entire premise of my argument was predicated upon the fact that I was literally doing the safest thing possible when drunk (other than cab it... but back then cab service in Boulder was limited). Of course I came to the decision that it's best to walk my bike home after 6 or 7 failed attempts to make it a block pedaling.
