Any tips on repairing a broken zipper on my tent cover? I reached out to cvt about this issue and if I could buy replacement zippers and they just sent me a link to buy a new cover. My cover is still in n great condition, don’t need a new one.

    Question for you folks.
What's the coldest temps you've slept in with your RTT? Did you use colder temp rated sleeping bag? Weatherhood?

    Thanks!

I slept at freezing cold last night. It was cold outside the sleeping back, dog was shivering, but my sleeping bag did great. I actually woke up once sweating a little cause I had my head inside.

    Question for you all.

My bed matress is a little hard. I'm really used to a soft bed since my bed in my house has a memory foam topper. Anyone tried a topper for their tent? Im sure it would collapse as easy as the mat does when folded up.

Most likely the best option for repair, is removal and taking it to a local upholstery shop. Otherwise the replacement of the cover may be in order.

a marine canvas shop could possibly repair your damaged zipper, but I suspect it would cost about as much if not more than a replacement cover.

Few questions that came to mind after installing my tent.

Does anyone have any problems with the tent blowing away in heavy winds when it is setup?

I raised my rear bajarack up so my tent frame lowest point is 1/2 inch higher than my front rack. Is this enough gap to account for flex between cab and camper?

a ratchet strap between the ladder and a low point on the truck will keep the tent from lifting up. at least so far it has worked for me.

Any decent upholstery shop should be able to take care of you for relatively cheap.

I mildly disagree. My minimum requirement for mounting the RTT is a solid two nights of camping. Tucking in the fabric after folding royally pisses me off every time

Quick trips and backpacking I love my ground tent

Ain’t gonna lie...if a @ChandlerDOOM RTT came available I’d probably jump on it to put on the truck for times I don’t want/need to pull the trailer (one nighters).

they're just so easy! if you're camping alone or want to do a quick trip it's hard to find something better.
