Was this the problem? My brakes were fine until I had them changed by the shop 30000 miles ago. Now after bleeding each wheel to absolutely NO air bubbles (yes I had some come out of each bleeder screw), I have brakes and damn good brakes but the pedal goes almost to the floor. When I bought this truck in 2010 brand new, the brakes were very touchy (engaged at the top of the pedal and traveled to the middle) to stop the truck. Definitely had to get use to it. Now they are and have been spongy ( engage toward the middle of the pedal and travel to th bottoming) ever since the the change. When truck is off, the pedal can be pumped up to rock solid and when the truck is turned on....the pedal sinks about three quarters the distance to the floor. I know why the pedal sinks, the problem is it sinks a lot farther than it did when I bought it. I'm out of ideas.

I can only tell you what my issue was, I had long pedal travel even after new front brakes. Took it to local shop, they checked rear drums and said my driver side rear adjuster wasn't working. I replaced the star wheel adjuster and my brakes were back to normal. I would also recommend that you use your E brake regularly.

Here is my thread about it: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/if-you-have-poor-brake-performance-read-this-thread.494994/

    I'm down with that!

I've seen some forums with good resources, but TW is leading by a mile on both OE and mods.
