I used your method...I like the end result! Its quicker and allows for a bigger steak size... Thanks!

I got one of these and it works great for deer, elk and moose. It did have a little trouble with a bear but I could have had the head to loose or something because it took a while to get through the bear (It did go through the first grind ok, just the second was a little hard to package ground). I dont remove all the silver skin, just the major pieces of tendon and the thickest parts of the silver skin by the hocks. I cut in big chunks and usually if it fits in the feed tube it will go through the grinder. Two grinds and about 35lbs and packaging took me about an hour or so. The first grind is quick...

    Very nice. I have a 375 h&h mark x ... one of my favorite rifles .

The fullstock guns have always intrigued me , so I recently picked this up in 9.3x62

I made the investment and bought a LEM 1/2 horsepower a couple years ago. I just did 35 pounds of deer sausage and about 15 pounds of burger a couple weekends ago. The grinding process took maybe 30 minutes. It takes longer to clean everything than grinding. It will grind anything you put in it, no need to trim the silver skin unless you want to.

My view from earlier this morning.
Also, just passed up on a decent 6...I must be getting picky in my old age:)

    1204170700_HDR.jpg
The real reason for passing on the 6 is that I need to get a 9 or better to win our buck pool :)

Went to my archery stand this morning. Beautiful out, 28 degrees, no wind, and that big ol moon was like a giant headlight.
Nothing seen except for the flock of Toms that were roosted near me.
